I don't know! Are they working against each other, or together? Who is good and who is bad? At least we got an answer as to why Locke was Jeremy Bentham, that part made sense. I loved it when Locke visited Hurley, and Hurley thought he was a ghost.
And why, why, why, why, did Ben talk Locke out of killing himself and then turn around and kill him like 5 minutes later? Was it because Locke mentioned that woman's name?
Very funny Matt. You're missing out on a great season! Last season was good too.
Another great Hurley moment, and so far, my favorite part of this whole season. Was a couple of episodes ago when Hurley was home cooking a hot pocket. He gets it out of the microwave, turns around, and Ben is standing there! Then he throws the hot pocket at Ben! That made me laugh so hard! If I had a DVR I would have watched that moment over and over again.
I've never even considered Widmore could be a good guy. Ben on the other hand, I've never trusted. He may be my favorite character, but sometimes I believe him, sometimes I don't. I just don't know what to think. Locke's death scene was so weird, it totally was because he mentioned what's her face but who knows why, it reminded me of when Locke could hear Jacob. Who's knows what his motive is? Jealousy, fear, or "the right thing to do for the good of the island". I loved the hot pocket moment! That was so funny! About Sayid, I found the timing strange. Didn't Ben find him like when he was literally carrying his wife's coffin to her grave? That is when Ben made him his hit man isn't it? So was he undercover? At the beginning of the scene I just figured it was while he was blissfully married and happy, so the timeline makes me curious.
I think both Widmore and Linus just want the island to be what they each knew it to be. Like a preservation. But I've never known Widmore to lie, and Ben lies all the time. They both will do anything to get their way. The scene between Locke and Sayid and Ben and Sayid are 3 years apart. I think that when Locke catches up with Sayid in Santa Domingo, he is like rectifying himself for all the horrible things he let himself do for Ben.
I think Cat is right about Sayid. I think he was trying to do some good because of being a hit man. All the other people Sayid was building that house with had on the same t-shirt, that is why I think it is for Habitat or an organization like that.
I'm still confused about Widmore. Cat is right that he never lies and Ben lies all the time. Do we know who Ben's dad is? He was born on the island right? Is Widmore his dad? Or am I way off?
Cat did make a lot of sense. For some reason I guess I just assumed that he was a hitman until present. It did look like HFH I thought too. Ben killed his dad, he was a drunk "work man" that hated him.
Ben wasn't born on the island. He just said he did. His dad brought him to the Dharma initiative when he was like 10 or something. Then he kills his dad and all the others. Then Sawyer, Hurley and Jin find his body in that bus they restore!
Oh yeah, I forgot. Too much to keep track of! And now with all this time warp stuff happening I'm uber confused, but I love it!
I really liked that scene a couple of episodes back when they were back in time to like WW2 and Locke comes across those guys and one of them says his name is Widmore, and Locke says Charles Widmore? Pretty cool stuff.
I also liked the very end of last week when Kate, Jack and Hurley land in that Lagoon and Jin comes driving up in the VW van.
I know! I loved Jin's little mini smile. I also loved when Sawyer saw Jin for the first time and how cute and happy he was. I've never seen him so happy. I will be interested to find out who Charlotte's parents are... I kind of guessed about Faradays.
Jin and Sawyers reunion was great! It is weird that Jin was in Dharma garb it will be very interesting to find out what that is all about. Next week's episode better be all post 2nd crash island stuff! That was so cool that Hurley bought all the empty seats on the plane so no one else had to die. He is such a good guy.
And I swear I saw Jin crack a slight smile when he jumped out of the van and pointed the gun at them in the Lagoon and realized who it was.
Oh yeah, it was great when Lupedis (?) was the pilot of the plane and he saw everyone that was on the flight, and he was like, we aren't going to Guam are we? And how did Sayid get on that flight? aughaughaughaugh!
Some of those people's appearance on the plane need to be explained and soon. I think maybe Sayid was who beat up Ben. Maybe that was why he was being escorted by a cop/marshall?...
He was definitely being escorted by a marshall or something. Someone beat the hell out of Ben! Very well could be Sayid. But last night I was for some reason thinking it was Kate. Oh yeah, cause he took Aaron away from her. What is that all about?
Ben took Aaron? I don't remember that. I know that Kate is very sad about something though. I just remember Sayid saying that if he ever runs into any of them it would be very unpleasant.
Remember the scene at the dock a couple of weeks ago, Sun was babysitting Aaron and she pulled the gun on Ben and accused him of the one trying to take Aaron away? Ben admitted it was him. Then last week Kate was at Jack's apartment and Jack asked Kate where Aaron was and Kate told him never to ask about Aaron again.
We don't know for sure Ben took Aaron away, something crazy happened. Sayid was in Kate's place from the first plane crash, as Hurley was Charley and Locke was Jack's dad. Someone theorized that Ben provoked Sayid so he would be arrested, so he would recreate Kate, who knows why he was going to Guam. Maybe Ben had had him shot someone on Guam and then turned him in to get him on that flight. Lots of possibilities.
I think Ben's reason for trying to take away Aaron was to make Kate want to go to the island. I want to rewatch the last few episodes, to straighten a few things in my mind.
I didn't even think of that! Em, you're going onto some Lost forum aren't you! I thought it was weird that Hurley had a guitar case too, but just thought-eh. I knew Locke was taking Jack's dad's place, it didn't even dawn on me that everyone else was representing not only themself, but someone else too! Holy Crap! I hate this show! I love this show!
No forums, but I am listening to that Lost podcast with Jay and Jack I mentioned in my podcast blog. They do two shows a week, one the night Lost airs (I download it the next morning), and one the following Monday after they have had time to come up with theories and listeners have had time to come up with some and call in. It's fun to get outside ideas you don't think of.
I need to check out that podcast. People actually talking and theorizing would be pretty interesting. The first couple of episodes I used to go onto some Lost website and read what people had to say, then I just got sick of it. I hate those forums. It will be interesting for awhile, then someone says something and everyone attacks them. Then the whole forum becomes all about either attacking or defending that person. I hate that.
Yes, I went into a lost forum a few times some years ago and was turned off for the same reason. It became all about the politics. That doesn't happen on the podcast. I like the offical lost podcast too, but that is mostly videos. Like Daniel Dae Kim interview after he comes back. Last week they showed us the ripped off arm. If they do an audio podcast it is the writers talking and answering questions. Until I can deliver your ipod, you can probably look up their website or if you are feeling ambitious you can download itunes from apple.com and subscribe to the podcast and just listen to it on the computer. I haven't had time today to listen to lasts nights, but I want to hear what they say about it!
I meant to say I went to the forum the first couple of seasons, not episodes. I haven't even bothered to check the forums the last 3 seasons. Live talk would be much better!
I like me, you and Cat talking about it too. We don't attack each other. I almost sent both of you a text last night when the episode ended, that would have said "what the f?", but then I thought about it. I knew both of you have those fancy DVR's and perhaps you didn't watch it while I did and you wouldn't know what I was talking about.
This weekend is for sure not going to work out to get together to get the Ipod. We are babysitting, we bought a new (used camper) and are picking that up Saturday, then we have to go to Cam's parents on Sunday, because like 100 of us have birthdays during the next couple of weeks. I'm thinking sometime the next week will work.
ok, just let me know when. I thought you guys had JUST decided to build your own camper? Did you just find an insane deal and say screw it?
I am making dinner and listening to the podcast right now, they pick up on things that I don't (which makes me want to go back and re watch it), that is one of my favorite parts about it, you go- hey! I didn't notice that! (such as Hurley posing for Charley). Off the wall theories (they call them "crackpot theories") are also always fun.
We are still going to build one, but I did find an insane deal on KSL.com. Our current camper has had too much water damage the last couple of years to use it this year. It's a 1966, so it's had a good life. Cam is all over building our own, but we really need something by Easter. I found a 1985 camper, a little smaller than the one we have, but it's only $250. It has new hydraulic jacks on it, those alone are almost $500 a set. We figure we'll use the one we just bought this summer, while Cam takes his time building ours. Then we will take the jacks off and take it to the dump!
That makes sense. By the way, I just listened to the official Lost podcast and it was the producers and they said that we will find out what happened to Aaron on the 11th episode of this season (we just watched episode 7) and it's called, "Whatever Happened, Happened". So I guess we have a few weeks.

So----
Widmore or Linus????

I was thinking we should do a weekly post about Lost for us Losties. Which I guess is probably just me, Em and Cat.
And for anyone, like Amy, who is kind of behind and renting the seasons, you probably don't want to read these discussions.
It was good to see Walt again too. And Sayid is so cute. What was he doing? Working for Habitat for Humanity?
Yup. Crap is a very good summation of what Lost is.

That ending scene with Jin in Dharma gharb and bus really freaked me out. Did they seriously travel back to that time? And how is Jin...whaaaa?
haha! Posted the same thing at the same time!

Hurley was told by someone that he needed to recreate Charley, I think, that's why he had the guitar case.

One thing I've learned: If you turn the wheel and wake up in Tunisia, you puke. Stay away from the wheel!!!
Never having watched Lost, this is the most boring post ever developed in captivity.
