This is the forum for the Wright family and relatives where we share our tastes of movies, music, books, and tv. You can write a review, complain, or tell the family you have just experienced a MUST SEE/READ!
This one made Rob and I laugh so much when it came out. In fact, I almost posted it just like you did when I saw it (it was a REALLY slow KWAW week and I thought we could use something like that guy). Obviously, I had jumped on the slow week bandwagon and went--eh, maybe later.
By the way Sue, the recent addition Flight of the Bumblebee" gives me an idea of a picture that would go very well on the site involving you, some siblings and some birds......
Yeah, I don't see the picture anymore either. It disappeared. Man was it funny though. I think that is the hardest I ever laughed on that website! The all gray, the facial expression, the hair, his stance, the fact that he has no idea what to do with his hands, his bell bottoms, his boots, his man boobs and rolls, etc...........
Haha Matt, I was going to mention the man boobs! So awkward! What's with the pregnant redneck in boxers with a dead turkey foot touching her belly???!!!! What the bip? There are some goodies on there right now, I love the zipper one, hehe.
Zipper one is funny, old Smokey needs a shout out too. I wondered about the turkey pic too, but the more I stared at it, the more I concluded that I will never understand.
I'm so glad everyone likes this website so much. As soon as I came across it, I knew it would be a favorite.
Anyway, I thought everyone would like to know that there is a small Dave update. Catherine, Dad and I all got calls today from a lady at England Trucking telling us that David Wright put us down as personal references. Dad and Cat actually spoke to her, I got a voicemail, called her back and left her a voicemail to call me back.
According to Dad and Cat she is mostly just verifying that he has been out of work since July 2008. Like any of us would know that! I am going to try and get some info on him from her when I talk to her. I will figure out how to do it without damaging Dave's chance for a job. The number she called from is a Utah number, so there might be a chance Dave is in Utah! Or, it could be England is headquartered here, and their drivers are scattered. (for instance, my bro-in-law is a truck driver, he lives in Orem, but the company he works for is based out of Denver).
Anyway, besides the fact that Dave has apparently been out of work since last year, I am seeing this as totally positive news for the family. It means A- Dave is alive. B- He must have kept the letter I sent him a few years ago, because I gave him everyone's phone number and asked him to give at least one of us a call. And C- it means that Dave knows his family loves him enough that we would still give him a positive reference even though he has totally dissed us the last 6 years.
Let's just hope we can turn this into a reunion with Dave somehow.
Wow cool! What was the number by the way? I missed a Utah number I didn't recognize today and my voice mail is full (as always). I like the thought that he kept the letter you sent him.
I love the idea that Dave kept my letter, it actually kind of chokes me up. But, I'm also wondering if Dan ever sent him a letter? I know you were planning to. Did you send him a letter with all our phone numbers?
That's awesome! It would be great if he were in Utah but I know there is an England Trucking headquarters in West Valley City, UT. I have seen them on my way to Magna when my sister in law lived there. I'm sure Dan has seen it too, since he lives around there. Anyway, good news! Hopefully you guys can get some more info and get in touch with him.
My friend's cousin is married to an England whose family owns the trucking line and they live in Utah. That is encouraging about Dave, but sad that he's been out of work for more than a year. I wonder what happened. I hope we can make contact with him.
Yeah, very interesting about Dave and the trucking job. I'm sad he hasn't been working for over a year. He was the only one in the company that was qualified to run the WEB press in Sparks. It paid very well and what happened? I don't think he would be a driver for England. There are lots of jobs in the wherehouse and places in a big trucking company. But still strange he would be getting out of the printing business.
Neat news about possible Dave connections ahead. Alas I let myself and everyone down and never followed through on my intention to write him. Couple false starts but lost traction.
Yes an England trucking school out here in Tooele. It's a huge company. Hope something great happens!

My favorite recent ones are "The Gun Show" and "Playtex." Most often, it's the captions that are the funniest. Love this site--visit it most days....

I only get a box with a red X in it. What is it? Oh, wait. I think I remember this one though...the guy all in gray with the gray background? Ha ha.

Seriously. It makes me cringe about what they will do to the baby after it is born.

Don't feel bad, Dan. Most of us have not followed through either. Days turn into weeks too quickly.
