OKAY YOU FOUND OUT

I know I called Emily and Rob "crazy idiots" for getting a puppy just before Ells was born. Well what goes around, comes around, and now mom and i are the "idiots". What can I say? We miss having a dog and I am sad driving around town without a dog in the truck. So we are trying it one more time and I must say I can't wait... I am picking the little hummer up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Some name choices on our short list are: Walter, Chester, Tucker, Stanley, Nelson, Baxter and Neil. Any comments would be welcome.

I vote for either Tucker or Baxter. We could do a poll?

I knew you guys would get another dog. I just can't imagine you without a dog. Our friends, who lost their dog on Saturday, are already in the market for a new one.

You've got some good name choices there Dad. I wouldn't go with Chester, you've already had a Chester. I like Stanley, I loved our cat Stanley, and always thought that was a great name for a pet. I also like Baxter, my friend Doug, has a pug named Baxter and it is a good dog name. (By the way, Doug's last name is Duncan) And of course, I like Neil. There are 2 Neils very much loved by this family, so it would be fun to have a dog in the family named Neil. Plus, I just really like one syllable names for dogs.

I like Neil. Baxter is okay- Tucker is my friend's name and that's weird to me (of Wallace and Gromit fame) I could get on board with Stanley too.

I vote for Neil, or Stanley.

Or, you could go with my WV: Fereta. We could see who has the best one before Thanksgiving! Hope you know I'm kidding.

I added a poll, just for fun.

Thanks for your comments and name ideas. Mom and I at first wanted another Chester, but we are enertaining other names. B is sour on Chester. We all like Neil and some in the family love at least one of the family Neils. We used to have a turtle named Neil. The four of us here on Prairie Road are now leaning toward Stanley. It just makes us laugh. Keep your comments coming. Where is your poll, Haley?

Oh, I just saw it. Cute! I voted republican.

Stanley cracks me up. The neighbors don't like it Pops, I don't think that matters too much though. haha.

I remember Neil the turtle! That was in El Cajon, a long time ago. We found his empty shell one day :(

I love Neil for a dog, that's cute. It's Neil Young's birthday today (love you, kissess !!!) and you guys live on Prairie Road. It just fits perfectly!

If you guys name the dog Neil it will just remind me of Marcus' little brother Neil. Haha. By the way, he is on a mission right now in Mesa, Arizona and he is in Scottsdale now and he saw Stephenie Meyer's house the other day! Cool, huh? Poor little turtle Neil, that's so sad! You guys have some tragic pet stories.

We had a lot of pets. It goes with the territory! Mom told us it probably just outgrew his shell and had to find a new home.

By the way, we are actually getting ready to join the idiot club, too. We are thinking it's time with Milo getting so old. We're looking at Newfoundlands! LOVE THEM!!

Yay for the idiot club!! Sorry to cause such a riot, but if I'm going to help potty train the little bundle of love, I want his name to be one I like. Go Stanley!!!

WV is cateneme!! Hehe, our little Stanley is probably going to be a cat enemy!!!

Funny comments, gang. Stanley and Neil move to the top of the list. Go Phisters and the Newfoundlands. Love the looks of that breed, but never been up close and personal with one. Neil the turtle was cute and not tragic. He was about 13 or 14 inches across and would get lost from us in the back yard for months at a time and then show up for awhile. Pretty cool guy. Turtles don't get all warm and fuzzy as a pet. Kinda cold as a matter of fact.

Scott was talking to a girl at work yesterday who had Newfoundlands and she said, "Yeah, our ceiling got really gross." Scott wondered what she meant and said, "Your CEILING?" and she said, "Yes, he would shake his head and the slobber would go up and hit the ceiling!" Wow! I don't think he'll be an inside dog! We found a breeder in Nebraska who said that her Newfs our the "non-slobber" kind. Might be worth the drive.

I think a Newf would be great! -Non slobbering kind sounds good. Ceiling? YIKES. I would think as far as having him be an inside dog, those coats that they sport alone would be a deal breaker.
