A Sad Report...

I am sorry to report that our little kitty Jacob, died this morning. Poor little thing was probably just too sick to make it. We found him this morning in the garage. We are going to bury him now and clean up his huge mess in the garage, (he still had water poop.) Anyway, just thought you guys would like to know. Sorry for the sad news. Edward is still going strong, so hopefully he makes it. Have a great Sunday!

Oh no! Poor little thing. I wonder what went on with that little guy. A sad little testament to cruelty to animals. I am glad he got to die surrounded by nice people who loved him and took such good care of him.

I am so sorry you guys! Poor little thing. I think your rat poison theory is probably right. Probably gave him kidney damage, that would account for the water poop. He probably didn't have much of a chance. Em's totally right, at least he had people who loved him and took care of him.

I'm going to go hug all 4 of my cats right now!

Give Annie a hug for me, I know how much she loves animals.

Yeah, we were all sad but know that he is no longer sick and is happy now. Hehe. Probably the saddest thing is when Marcus and Kyle were burying him, Edward followed them out there and watched and kept looking down in the hole and meowing sadly. He totally knew what happened. It was really sad. It is kind of fun to watch him because all the other cats have kind of adopted him as their little brother. Especially Adrian, our 4 month old calico. She has been playing with him all day, and I think it is good for him. Poor Edward.

The burying scene you discribed is truly pretty sad. Sweet but sad. Reminds me of burying Clifford, our beloved Golden Retreiver, back in Mapleton. I took the backhoe up on the hill across from the old house and all the family and the Bradfords and Riekers all followed behind the tractor and we dug a deep hole and layed Cliff down to rest in peace. We even said a few words of love and kindness over the grave. Loved that dog. I am tearing up as I write..

Matt reminded me that Dee Bradford wore a white shirt and tie and a suit. How classy is that?
