National Lampoons Vacation! Sorry it's so late, and sorry I didn't do a Friday hint. I changed internet providers and couldn't get it really working until Sunday afternoon. I was going to do the posting last night. But I put a movie in at about 8pm, fell asleep and woke up on the couch around 1:30am! I hate it when that happens!
Anyway Dad got if first! Em thought maybe the Muppet Movie, but wasn't too sure. A couple days later Em sent in Vacation as her guess. Sorry again that I didn't do a Friday one, maybe more people would have gotten it. This is a classic movie and I watched most of it on cable a couple of weeks ago. It is hilarious! I love Chevy Chase and I think he looks a bit like Dad.
Here is this week's movie quote:
Person #1-If you beat up on so many cops, how comes we don't see no scratches on you?
Person #2- Coz I'm a karate man, bruise on the inside, don't show my weaknesses.

Foiled again! I guessed about an hour after you posted the Wed hint and I got it. I sent it from facebook titled SWS. I do know that dad did beat me since he sent me another playlist and told me he was pretty sure he won since he got it early early mon morning. He saw this movie on cable last week! (rotten luck for me, since that first one was quite obscure, but the Wed hint was pretty easily recognizable).
Aweeeaa! boy I'mm on a roll and lucky. I just happened to click on Vacation on cable last week and it was near the start right when we went to buy the stationwagon. I haven't seen the beginning in years as I just watch bits and pieces when it is on and look for the funny parts. Lot's of them in this classic. Glad you are still with us,Sue. Missed you all weekend.
Sorry dad, I was foiled twice on making your playlist. The Clash's Sean Flynn is not found on playlist.com and there is some copyright law keeping any and all Beatles songs off the internet. (No help from ol' MJ from beyond the grave). For the record, dad wanted Twist and Shout on there.
On a happier note, man I love me some Midnight Train to Georgia by Ms Knight.
Good job Dad (and Emily). Like your playlist Dad! You're the coolest dad, grandpa and great-grandpa ever (even!).
Nice try Ems, I should of known the Beatles would be hard to download. Sorry, however that The Clash's Sean Flynn could not be found. No biggie..... Sister knight now!
It's good to be back! It's weird not having the internet for a couple of days. I swear I have a couple of Beatles songs on my Playlist on my blog. Did they take them off? I haven't checked. And for the record, MJ sold the rights back to Yoko when he started having money troubles.
Good job Gramps! Never seen this movie. I have seen "Vegas Vacation" but that's the only one. Yes, I also like Grandpa's playlist. I have "I Dreamed a Dream" on mine too! I cannot listen to that song without at least tearing up. But I will probably never win.
Oh and the lady on the "Dream Cast" concert in London is the best Fantine and sings it the best by far.
Definitely glad all is well with you Sue. I loved that movie but haven't seen it for years. It is fun when they come on TV so many years later. I have a couple guesses for this week but definitely unsure. Getting tougher.
Congrats, George and others--and welcome back to the wired world, Sue! And I'm pretty certain a Friday clue still wouldn't have given me a runner-up spot for that movie. I do remember it being funny but don't think I ever saw it more than once.
I just saw it once and then catch a few scenes here and there when it's on TV. It usually lures Scott in when it's on. He probably would have gotten this one!
Sue-- did you ever find my second guess? Just curious.
Do you mean for this week's Em? If so, I don't even have a first guess from you,let alone a second one. I checked my SWS folder and there is nothing from you. I checked my inbox on FB and the last one I have is from last week. And I don't delete anything from the FB inbox. How did you send them? You will have to figure out exactly when you sent it in case you're wright. 4 people have sent in guesses, and only one of them is wright, so if you are too, I'll have to see if it was before or after the other person.
Yeah, that's wright. Out of the 4 of you that have sent me guesses, and you know who you are, only one of you have it wright.
Wednesday hint coming soon.
No, I'm talking about last week when I guessed NL Vacation. You never did make any comments about that whole thing....
What are you talking about? I'm confused. In this week's posting it says dad got it first, em guessed Muppet Movie, then sent in Vacation a couple days later.
Here is the wednesday hint:
And he's wearing my Harvard tie, like oh sure, he went to Harvard.
What the bip??? Has that been there the whole time?
I don't think that has been there the whole time...I don't remember it being there. Weird.
Whatever pregnant silly girl and post-pregnant silly girl. It has been there the whole time! Can anyone one who is not currently pregnant and who hasn't been pregnant in the last few months please back me up on this?
So easy to blame the pregnant and post-pardom brains. I would too like a little back up on that "being there the whole time" nonsense.
Someone will back me up, I have faith. Yes, it's easy to blame the pregnant and post-pardom brains, cause you guys are the ones thinking I edited the post sometime between 7:56 when you first mentioned it and 8:32 when I posted my "I'm confused" comment.
I was wondering why in the SWS allstars you put yourself as "debate-ably".
Seems to me that it was there the whole time. Sorry you pre- and post-partem women....
I was actually pretty confident in my original guess for this week but am now almost positive I'm not the one who was wright, dang it.
The bip? I back up Sue babe if I understand what this is all about. The posting has not been altered since it was posted. Since I was the WINNER, I read it pretty carefully. However, you can put my aged brain in the same catagory of your pregnant and post-partem brains. Lame-brains. Haha.
I suppose it's time to concede.
I am definitely NOT pregnant and I back Sue up. The comment was there the whole time. You silly ones.
That's so weird! I'm confused. Oh well, guess it was there the whole time.
HA! Thank you Dan, Dad and Amy, for backing me up.
I concur with the pro-Sue party. It was totally there the whole time.
Woo-hoo! Another one on my side. I think my pregnant theory is starting to pan out.
Another pro for Sue.I saw the comment:) I also think I got this one but maybe someone else got it wright too:)
W.V. chitsme. No futher comment necessary.
Here is the friday quote. It's a day late because my monitor died! I am right now using an old one I kept. Anyway, here is the next quote:
Think big, think positive, never show any sign of weakness. Buy low, sell high. Fear? That's the other guy's problem. Nothing you have ever experienced will prepare you for the unlimited carnage you are about to witness. Superbowl, World Series -- they don't know what pressure is. In this building, it's either kill or be killed. You make no friends in the pits and you take no prisoners. One moment you're up half a mil in soybeans and the next, boom, your kids don't go to college and they've repossessed your Bentley. Are you with me ?
