Scout found a praying Mathis on the wheel of our garbage can and so we captured it (which was no easy feat given my history with these guys).
We brought it upstairs to show Rob and then let it go again.

I still haven't seen Matt's praying mantis impersonation! So this means he must do that one and the ring bearer one next time I see him!
My friend's daughter works at a preschool. The other day she called her mom and said, "Did you know that a giant Praying Mantis threw all of the toys over the fence?" Her mom said, "No, I didn't", "Well, that's the explanation that the kids had today!"
I couldn't help thinking of Matt!

So is Praying Mathis what Scout calls them or was that just a spelling error?
Oops! Nope, Scout calls them simply "manthises" She drops the "praying", she is tight like that with them.

Ah, yes. In high school I had one in my hair for like a half hour and didn't know it. When I finally figured it out...........high drama.
