Sunday's With Sue

Big! I love this movie! I end up watching it pretty much every time it's on cable, which is fairly often. The above picture is from one of the best scenes. B, if you haven't seen it, you need to. I think you'd like it a lot. And Dan, the context of the Bob's office quote is when the actor John Heard, who plays the guy that really hates Josh (Tom Hanks) finds out he was given a promotion and his own office.

So, Amy got it first again! That's 2 in a row Amy! Then Cat, then Jeanine. Amy, Cat and Jeanine all got it from the first quote. I'm very impressed cause that was a pretty tough, vague one. Emily got it next, then Dad and then Dan. Haley guessed What About Bob, and B thought it might be either Transformers or Short Circut.

Here is this week's quote:

I'm a bagel on a plateful of onion rolls.

Wow! I'm on a roll. Lucky guess, I think, because it was so vague. I'll take another win, though. Great movie!

Oh crap. I guess I'm out of the family. It was fun to know you. Give Allison and Creepy Baby George kisses for me.

You all gotta cut the B some slack. I vote to keep her in and I would act as her defence attorney if necessary. She is one of the few sane people we have.

Pops said...

Plus she can spell!

HaHaHa, 'ol Pops might win one!

B has been cut slack. I wasn't including her when I was cutting people out of the family. I was mainly talking to you and Dan. I'd understand if B had never seen Big. You two on the other hand, would have no excuse.

I have seen Big and really like it, I just had no idea from the vague quotes!

Congrats, Amy!

I've seen Big a time or two and liked it fine (in fact, it's the reason I started liking Elizabeth Perkins as an actress--hadn't really ever noticed her before it), but I'm still not remembering any specifics surrounding this week's clues except for the final one about the Transformer building that Sue gave to us remedial types. (Sue's help with the context for the Bob office line still didn't help.)

Em, thanks for thinking enough of my pop culture IQ to intend your comment for George and me. I'll take it as a compliment....

Drawing blanks on this one for this week so far. George, does your comment mean you think you have it right for this week?

Pops said...

Yesiree Bob! I thing I have it Wright this week. That would be something for this high odds old horse to come in first.

B said...

Em, the problem is that I have seen it. That scene with the robot is my favorite. I'm just really lame at this game. But Pops, thank you so much for your defense! Glad we're back home to keep you company!!

I have no idea on this week's quote. I'm going to have to wait till Wednesday!

Emily said...

Sorry it took me until Wed morning to put up this week's stats! I totally forgot. The good news is that Amy hit three which moved her up the list right under Matt.

Sue said...

Here is the Wednesday quote:

Person #1- I have a half interest in a little farm. I breed horses.

Person #2- What's the matter, they can't do it alone?

Dan W said...

I'm clueless on this one still. Ugh! Funny line here, but not even a vague feeling of familiarity.

Amy said...

I'm still stumped too. Friday hint coming?

Sue said...

Sorry, I forgot to do one yesterday. Here is another quote:

Person #1- I'd be happy to wait while you change.

Person #2- I'd have to change too much, nobody could wait that long.

Dang, I'm not even going to be a "runner up" this time. I'm still blanking on all of these clues. None even sound familiar. I hope it means it's a movie I've never seen rather than that I'm losing my mind....

Haaw! Mom and I watched TV last night in our room in Jackson and watched Butch Cassidy and the sundance kid on TMC. After the movie they promoted next weeks special movie and there in living color was the scene where she said, "I am a bagel on a plate full of onion rolls" I laughed out loud but mom didn't know why. The movie goes back a few years and it was one the first that I remember buying in VHS format.

Hey, Sue, tell the Ems and Marcus and haley that mom and I got home safely at 11:10 pm. It was a good trip home and we listened to some good music and dodged elk and deer all the way. No ties, which is a good thing. Nice to see you, Elmo and Scout. Double nice to see little Allison and Haley doing so well.

Glad you guys made it home okay! It was good to see you guys! Allison is adorable!
