A Blessing

It's about time we blessed this sweet little blessing of ours. For all of you that aren't savvy to it, we are doing it this weekend. Anyone and everyone is invited. It is at 9:00 at the church just down the hill from our house, with sandwiches and other such things at our house afterwards.
Amy, Scott, Annie, Kyle, Mom, Matt and B are all due to arrive on Friday night around 10 or 11. Pops can't make it due to Airport duties --BOO!!! Dad you will be missed greatly, but we understand. Hope all the Utah peeps can make it-- Dan- you and your family are welcome of course, but certainly no pressure, but know we'd be glad to see you. Ben-- if you aren't working you are like 100 yards away.... Sue and Cat? Did I miss anyone?

Matt- You're in charge of bringing Settlers!

We really want to come but can't. Marcus has finals, our tires suck, and no gas money. I would come by myself but Allison is a terror in the car and I can't get up the courage to do it. I really want to though, sounds so fun!

I'm so sorry to miss this event. I haven't missed too many of the grandies blessings, but I'm stuck on this one. Our schedule is a mess right now at the airport. Two workers on Vacation and one doing duty at the police Dept. I am the only one in town this weekend and so I couldn't trade with anyone. We are ususally very good at helping each other out for things like this. Anyway, have a great time and I'll be thinking of you and Tiny Els. I'll be getting a porterhouse steak so Chester and I can have a good Sunday dinner.

We are aiming to make the blessing for sure. Still uncertain about who will/can take our Primary class, so we may not be able to stay after for the fun. Our class starts at 12:10, and Cedar Hills is about 70 minutes away. We'll keep you posted.

We're excited to come tonight! Kelly can't make it because she has to take the ACT on Saturday. She said she CAN'T miss it. I guess that's a good excuse. Luckily, Annie has no basketball games scheduled this weekend. (She's only had 7 during the past 9 days and another on Monday!). Sarah is planning on coming, too. She also said that she REALLY wants to see the lights at Temple Square and I was thinking the same thing. So, who's in? We were thinking Saturday evening would be the only time to do this. Anyone who wants to go, let me know and we'll be sure to meet up (DRESS WARM). I think most of us Wyoming peeps need to do a little Christmas shopping Saturday, too. See you all soon! We'll miss Dad and the Crooks, for sure :(

I can come, for sure!

Christmas lights would be good. Christmas shopping is good too. Wish you could be there too Dad, Crooks, and Kelly. Glad we get to see the Spoons again! Yay! This is pretty bad timing for me, yet kinda nice at the same time. I had a final this morning, and have another one Monday morning. Yuck! So I will have to study in the car on the way back. But it will be nice to get a break from this stuff.

I reckown this is going to be a sweet trip!

I reckown it's going to be great too.
We are totally down for going to see the lights.
Good to see that we'll have Spoonson Sunday--

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to work, but I'll know for sure tomorrow when I get my schedule. I work Saturday until 5:00. If I work Sunday it will probably be the same hours, 8:30 am - 5:00. It would be fun to see you guys again when I'm not at work. Maybe Saturday evening or something. Let me know!

Pops said...

Hahaha, I laughed at the latest photos on AFP. The chain-mail baby outfit....thats going geeky to the extreem.

Haley said...

Yeah, we won't be able to make it. Marcus had a bunch of makeup labs to do and a big anatomy test. We are getting new tires put on today and it snowed a ton here. Things are just conspiring against us going so sorry we can't make it! Hope you guys have fun!

We'll see you all at the church in the morning, but unfortunately we'll have to be rolling back to Tooele by about 10:40. Couldn't pull off a sub for our Primary class (13 ten-year-olds when the active ones all come). Anyway, looking forward to at least saying hello!

Shoot, I lost the comment I was writing. It must be early in the AM. I wish I was there and be in the circle at the blessing. I'm sure it will be a great ordinance. Someone tell Rob not to mess up and name her Tiny Ells. That would be hard to explain to the great record keeper in the sky.

Hey George-
We missed you for the blessing, luckily I got the name right so me and the big guy are all square on the records.
You didn't miss much on Saturday as the day was filled with shopping at various locations across Utah, but you were missed today.
You too Marcus and Haley, wish you could have made it, but doing well in school is important too.

And Sue and Cath you were invited also...

Anyways Thanks to everyone

Sorry I missed it Rob! I had to work today and couldn't get out of it. I sent Em a text letting her know, but I guess she didn't see it until a couple of hours ago.

The Phisters and Wright just got home at 9 PM. Lots of snow at the Utah end of the trip. But they are safe and happy they made the trip and got some shopping done and the blessing done and ate at P.T. Chinks. I'm back at the airport with Chester waiting for the 10:20 flight.

Emily said...

We understand Sue- we missed you though.
I put a setting on my phone that automatically opens up my text messages when they are sent to me and displays them on the screen. Mighty convenient to skip some steps but I've found it's big flaw- if I don't see the text right away and get a phone call, the new call fills the screen, I answer it (or not) and then hang up and the only record of ever getting a text is that there is just another opened text listed in my inbox so I EASILY can miss them these days. I didn't know all this, until I started noticeing some mixed text the last week (on being Matt pointing out that Jonny Greenwood has a gap in his teeth like me and he thought that was cute -I didn't know that Matt, but now feel special to be linked with someone other then Madonna and Lauren Hutton.
Needless to say, I have fixed that setting and I now open them up the old fashioned way, more steps, but I don't miss them anymore.

If you couldn't tell, that's what happened to your text Sue.

We had a great time and glad we came. The Christmas lights at Temple Square were a bust (every single resident of Utah was there and trying to find a parking space, too!). Oh well, the rest was great. Sorry we missed some of you. Thanks Em & Rob for your hospitality. 8 hours is WAY too long for a drive home! Lame sauce.

No worries Sue, and no worries Cath, just mentioning that we missed you two also.
