An Idiot Abroad

Ok, so we have only seen a few episodes of this show but it seriously is so funny. My brother and sister in law, Nia and Skipper recommended it to us. Marcus and I both laugh out loud the entire episode. Ricky Gervais  and Stephen Merchant are the creators and they basically send Karl, a really miserable, hesitant, and cranky Brit, around the world doing crazy things. They just laugh and laugh at him and make him do the things they know he will hate the most. Karl is so funny and his reactions and perspectives are just so funny. You must check it out if you have not seen it. There is some language because they seriously torture this guy and he gets so mad, but they bleep most of it out. Here is our favorite scene so far. The premise is he is in Uganda and his task is to prepare dinner for the King of this tribe and his attendants. Here you go:

I LOVE Karl! I have heard of this show, but haven't watched it yet. I know him from Ricky Gervais's podcast. He and Stephen Merchant do a podcast and Karl started out as just this producer guy that was just so weird, they incorporated him in the show more and more. In fact, I added my favorite highlight show to my ipod for our trip tomorrow, thinking it would be fun for everyone to listen to on the drive. I just adore Ricky Gervais- he cracks me up to no end. I love his laugh and how he cracks himself up so much. I need to check this show out for sure. Thanks for the reminder.

Yay! You will absolutely LOVE it then! FYI they are having An Idiot Abroad marathon on the science channel on April 1st. So maybe use the dvr and then you can watch them all. :) Oh, Ricky Gervais is one of the funniest people on the planet. I love him. Yes, there is something about his laugh. Very infectious.
