Happy News!

Time for a little action on this blog. We were all so excited for Matt and B with their exciting announcement, and then so disappointed that we're going to have to wait a little longer to have a little Wright baby in the family. Wow, I just realized that Matt was the last "Wright baby". I didn't want to take anything away from Matt and Bronwyn's happiness and then the following sadness, but I think it might be time to let you know what's going on in our family. Most of you probably saw it on facebook, but I just wanted to officially announce that Sarah got engaged on Saturday, October 8th, to Cody James Griffiths. They are going to be married on Thursday, January 12, 2012 in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple in South Jordan. There will be a reception that evening at Highland Gardens in Highland. Then there will be another reception at the Holiday Inn in Riverton on the 14th. We would love for you all to plan on being there for this special day. Cody is a great guy and we're excited to welcome him into our family. He loves Sarah so much and she is so happy.

While we're at it, while this is not official with a ring yet, Kelly and Mike Long are also getting married! They are planning a wedding for Saturday, March 24, 2012 in the St. George Temple and then a reception in Riverton on Friday, March 30. We are so excited for these two, also. Mike is such a great guy, too, and they are unbelievably cute and happy. So, save these dates!!

Well, as for me, I'm spending hours upon hours on the internet and the phone searching for bridesmaids dresses, caterers, photographers, florists, cake makers, and worst of all, mother of the bride dresses! I'm loving it, and making progress and looking forward to having two more sons. I couldn't have hand-selected any better for these two daughters of mine.

Oh, and I'm leaving Thursday to spend 3 days with Jeanine in New York City, and a WEEK with Allison, Will, Haley and Marcus in Pennsylvania! Can I tell you how excited I am?! Love you all! Kisses!

I forgot to mention that Mike and Kelly will have a reception on the 24th at the Bell Tower in St. George.

So excited for your girls! It's been a while since we had a wedding, so two seems like a great idea. Happy to welcome both boys into the family. Also very happy to add two more awesome things to my epic year 2012. Sad to lose the baby from my list. There is still plenty of time to get a little one on the schedule though. Auntie Em doesn't give up easily.

SOOO excited for the weddings. We can't do weddings one at a time, eh? Well, sorry Haley and Marcus, but these weddings videos are going to be a little bit better than yours. We've learned a thing or two. And sorry to postpone the joyous announcement with our lameness. BUT there is still PLENTY of time for Baby Wright to come in 2012. We're just thinking that it can't come in August, and I probably shouldn't fly after 7 months, so. Bip. I either have to get pregnant next week or January.

But enough about us. Bippin cute couples!! And you guys would not believe how much of these weddings Amy has done already. Mama bird of the century!!

Congratulations everyone! Lots of fun stuff for our family in 2012. That must be crazy planning for two weddings! Is Scott going to get a part time job to pay for all this? haha.

I've already done some searching for hotels. St. George is going to be the problem. None of our hotels there are offering any kind of discount, they are all priced at 159.00 and 179.00 per night. I've always had a hard time getting rooms in St. George, and March is especially tough with it being pretty much the most popular and busiest time of year down there.

Utah County isn't a problem. All of the hotels in the Provo/Orem area are offering rooms at $79.00 per night, the Fairfield in Provo has them at my rate of $35.00 per night. I can do two rooms at each hotel, so if you need rooms, let me know how many and the dates etc and I will get those secured.

Also let me know honeymoon locations. The girls will qualify for my friends and family rate, so I can try and hook them up.

We really score. Twice this year we'll be able to ask Scott for favors that he won't be able to refuse! On this, the day of my daughter's wedding...

hahahahaha Cat! Scott, the Godfather of Riverton. Do you know who my brother-in-law is?

HAHAHA Cat! That made me laugh!

Hahaha! Scott is going to be a wreck giving 2 more daughters away. He's getting so sensitive in his old age. Heehee.
Sue, you're so thoughtful to think about this so early. Don't worry about St. George. My friend, Suzi, offered us their time share down there. She booked us 2 two-bedroom condos which sleep 6 each for 155.00/night. Not a bad deal considering the price for normal hotel rooms during that time. She might be able to get us another one, if any of you guys think you'll want to come down for that and share one. Let me know soon so I can get it booked. I think we will need rooms for January. The wedding is in So. Jordan and the reception in Highland, so somewhere near these locations would be awesome. If you could get 2 rooms for the Phisters at 1 hotel, that would be awesome. We'll have Haley's family with us, too. So excited for all of this. Thanks Sue as always!

That is good news about St. George. The hotel prices will probably just go up the closer you get. Are Kelly and Mike also having a reception in St. George? Or just the wedding?

The Springhill Suites at Thanksgiving Point has rooms at 79.00 per room, per night and the Residence Inn in Sandy has rooms for 89.00 per room per night. Both places have rooms that have two beds plus a sofabed, so they can sleep up to 6 people. And both would come with breakfast. They seem like the best locations for where you need to be. I just need to know which one you want and the exact dates you need them. I'll book them using my credit card for now, then we'll need to switch it to yours. The last 3 times I've booked rooms for people, the hotel has charged my card. So, anyway, let me know the dates you need.

And Dad, if you read this, I can get a room for you and mom too. I can only do two rooms at one hotel, so you won't be able to stay in the same hotel the Phister's stay at. Oh, and I imagine Matt and B will be coming too and need a place too, so I can get a second room or whatever. We should book these soon while they are available because that is during ski season, and SLC will start getting busy.

Yes they are having a reception that evening in St. George.

Let's do the Sandy one. Thanks Sue! I'll switch it when I get back into town. Remind me :)

Okay Ames, I booked two rooms for you at the Residence Inn in Sandy for you. I made the reservations for January 10 out on the 13th. Let me know if I need to drop or add any nights. I emailed you the confirmations.
