Sunday's With Sue 10/4/9

The Wizard of Oz! One of the greatest classic movies of all time! One of the movie channels played it about a week ago, and I watched it. I hadn't seen the movie in years, it is a great movie. But you would think that I'm the only one who has seen this movie, because no one got it! I didn't even get any wrong guesses! About an hour ago, Emily sent me a message that Rob knew what movie it was. She doesn't feel she can claim it, because they didn't work it out together, it was all Rob. So, I guess Rob got it! But, I think we should listen to my playlist for the week, because Rob's guess doesn't count. I had already started the post when Em's email came. I had already down loaded the picture and picked out the next movie. Besides, I never get a chance for my playlist to play, because you guys are all too good at this. So get ready for some Sue tunes! I don't even remember what I sent Em, so it will be a surprise to me. I would imagine there is probably a Beatles song, or if not, a John Lennon one.

Here is this week's movie quote:

Person #1- If I lose my temper you're totalled man.

Person #2- Totally?

Person #1- Totally.

Oh man! Of all the movies I should have guessed wright on, this is it! Do you know how many times I listened to this movie when Sarah was 2? I knew the lines sounded familiar and I didn't even see the Friday hint. Oh well! I told you I'm so lame at this. Good job Sue, you deserve a win!

Dang it, of course! The hearts one is the best of the clues for guessing it, then the brains one. I can't think who the exchange about the statue is between. Can anyone fill me in on that scene? I've seen Wicked twice in the past three years but probably not WofO for twenty or so. I ought to check it out again!

Looking forward to some Sue tunes. I'm guessing no U2 or Coldplay in the mix, but perhaps it still might be alright... :)

Rob says you guys are probably better off without his playlist (his music taste runs the gambit of weird). I laughed that Rob was the only one that got it though. That is just really random that he would know it out of all of us.

The wednesday statue quote was familiar, It was the scarecrow that said it right? I might have got it with Fridays hint but didn't see it. I have been pretty sick with the flu all weekend. Still way sick. My professor sent me home today! haha.
YAY FOR YOSHIMI BATTLES THE PINK ROBOT!!

Ya, I think it's between the scarecrow and the tin man.

The fact that Rob is the only one of us who got this one is just making me laugh. Hope you feel better soon, Matt and I also say yay for Yoshimi.

I can't believe I didn't get this movie. I need to watch it again. Good job for stumping us Sue even though this is a total classic in this family!

I said yay to Yoshimi so much I added it back to my playlist on my blog (I don't remember why it ended up off of it in the first place). I think the link died now that I think about it. Plus I put my playlist back on my blog with a little facelift. Yay!

Yay for all the Yoshimi love! I love that song so much, I was very happy when I saw that I had sent it to Em to be on my playlist.

It also makes me laugh that Rob is the only that got the movie Wright.

But, there are 2 things that make me laugh even harder.

One is John Lennon sings the f-bomb twice in the song I chose! Sorry, I just love that song so much, and I guess when I've listened to it, I don't really notice. But now, listening to it with the "family ears" I heard it loud and clear. hahahaha! I can have it changed to a different song if you guys want me to. There are plenty of good JL songs out there.

Second thing that makes me laugh is the picture of the album cover for the Ween song! I totally forgot that is the picture on that album. When Ben and I divorced, we had to go through the CDs we had gotten together. I think I took the Beck albums and let him keep the Ween. Ben and I had burned the Ween albums for Cam, so when I married Cam, I got my Ween albums back! But, they are burned copies with no album covers. I was kind of startled when I saw the album cover come up today! haha!

And one last thing, is it just my computer being weird, or is there no back up singing on Take me to the River? Or, did Em find the one version where there are no back up vocals? Strange, the back up singers are one of the best parts of that song.

Didn't hear the f bombs, but when I saw the cover I had a little chuckle...

I knew it sounded familiar too. I love that movie! They are coming out with a remastered and added footage DVD in the next month. I love the lion the best. Hey Dan, I still remember you playing him when you were in school. You did an awesome job:) Sharon also played the scarecrow I think?

Good job, Sue. Keep it up, but quit stumping us.

Wednesday and Friday clues please!

Cat said...

Yeah, what's up?

Sorry guys, I haven't been home much in the past few days. I will post 3 quotes today for you.

Quote #1

Person #1-This is a very nutritious lunch. All the food groups are represented. Did your mom marry Mr. Rogers?

Person #2- Uh, no. Mr. Johnson.

Quote #2

Screws just fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place.

Quote #3

Person #1- Speak for yourself.

Person #2- Do you think I'd speak for you? I don't even know your language.

I don't think I have even seen this one...

Matt Wright said...

Wait. Yeah I have. But bip, I don't have it. This is a mad struggle!

Emily said...

You've seen it for sure Matt.

I emailed Dave the instructions on how to become an author on the blog, but haven't heard anything back.

By the way, I think the same character said all of these lines! Maybe I'm mistaken about quote number #2 (3rd all around). Anyway, just putting that out there.

I have no idea.
