HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUE early posting

Happy birthday, Susie. Looking at these pictures makes me want to call you Susie. I had to start with the gorilla at Junior High School. Were you a little surprised to have that thing walking the halls of school looking for you?? Hahaha. Love it! Remember the 300SD? Anyway there we so many pictures of you that were cute and "just so Sue" that it was hard to choose. Hope I didn't choose too many. Have fun, Peeps and lots of love from Mom and I.

you on a bobcat pelt on the rug.

Crib shot.
Maybe the best classic pose of a little girl...
I don't know where this was taken. It looks kinda like Glen Abby cemetary.
Maybe my favorite of all pictures. May dad and you at Anthony's in La Mesa. It is just classic .
Corn in the mouth..
Utah and Mapleton School.
Just a little food all around except for your mouth and belly.
Early developer.
Easy Rider!
Teenage Sue at Christmas
Big hair!
Have a great day and have fun at whatever you do. Love you much. Kisses Dad

Cool pix! Happy birthday early to "Susie." I need the story on the gorilla! Also so neat to see picture of you with grandpa...

You picked great pictures, Dad. Lots of my favorites. That would be our mother in the gorilla suit. She ran through the halls looking for Sue to wish her a happy birthday. Kelly just saw the picture and I told her about it and she said, "that's awesome!". Hey, I vaguely remember running through the University Mall in a gorilla suit, Dan. Happy early birthday, Sue!

No memory of you in a suit, Mose. Am I in this vague memory somewhere? Sounds fun and like something I wish I had to tease you about (affectionately, of course).

Dan! You don't remember taking Scott to the mall and me (in a gorilla suit) asking him to BYU Preference with a scroll and a banana he had to eat? I have pictures to prove it and you were there!

Dan W said...

Uh . . . KIND of, now. I must have pregnancy brain...

Did Scott say yes?

Would love to see the pictures sometime!

Did/does your family own a gorilla suit or something?

Do Mary Ann and I rented it from Partyland in Springville. She asked her boyfriend on the same day. I'll show you the pictures sometime.

I have no idea why there is a "Do" in front of that message.

Happy Birthday on your actual birthday Sue!!! I loved staying at your house before the Fake Neil concert, and when we returned the cookie blanket to your house and Matt was terrified that he was going to get shot by Cam... haha!!

I was waiting to post on your actual birthday too. Happy birthday!

Growing up, you were always the influence to me that made classic literature and art cool to like. All my best memories involve laughing and laughing with you. It is safe to say that if Sue is going to be there, we are going to LAUGH lots. That makes me happy.

My favorite recent laughs would be the whole "forgetticus" conversation.

Sue, you are so terrific. I love your strange and quirky ways and eclectic interests. And as Em says, it's great how everyone will know they are in for a lot of laughs and interesting conversation. I've loved getting to see you more this past few years!

Oh yes, laughing hard and Sue go together! Love you lots. Hope you had a good day!

Hey Sue. Sorry I didn't post on your Birthday. Hope it was a good one. I remember being really little and watching a documentary on John Lennon with you. Towards the end I looked over at you and you were balling. I didn't really know why you were crying but I wanted to help you. I went and asked Mom and asked why you were crying and she just explained how much you loved The Beatles and that somebody killed John Lennon and it made you sad. That experience stuck with me and I knew early on how much you appreciated music and just all talent in general. I have always thought you were so just all around awesome. You give the best gifts christmas/birthday gifts ever too!
Much love!

WHAT!!? Holy BIP! I just noticed after posting that, that there is a picture of you opening a Lennon box set... ON CHRISTMAS MORNING! I didn't even notice that before I commented. Maybe I did in my self conscious or something, but seriously, those were things I was already planning on saying before I even got on the blog. WEIRD.

Hapyy Birthday Sue! Sorry it's a day late. I've been kind of out of it lately. I'm recovering from oral surgery. I had to have two teeth pulled, one being a wisdom tooth. I'm on some pretty strong pain medications. And to all of you, sorry for sort of falling off the face of the earth lately. Things have been pretty crazy at work, plus some computer issues where we had to take the computer to get repaired.

Thanks Sue for being such a wonderful sister and for bringing so much laughter and fun to our family. Hope you had a great birthday. It would be fun to see you more often.

Thanks for all the birthday stuff everyone! And a special shout out to Dad for picking that terrible, big hair, 5th grade picture of me! What a dork!

I love that picture of me and Grandpa so much. A few years ago Mom blew that picture up and framed it and gave it to me. That picture was taken on one of my "special days" with Mom.

Matt- that story you told almost brought me to tears. That is so sweet that you were worried about me, and had to ask mom if I was okay. That is just the sweetest thing I've ever heard. I still have that Lennon disc set, and I listened to 2 of the discs yesterday on my birthday.

And thanks for the birthday love Ben! I agree, we need to get together more.
