WTB Movie is this? (number 1 not official)

This is one I can never pass up when on cable and I think I have two copies on DVD.  A Rob Reiner film.  I think Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson were perfect casting.  The Jack was just great with his stellar performace and his intensity and ferocity.  Even his facial expressions at times were worth a watch.  Kevin Bacon and Kiefer were all good.  Of course, I am a sucker for good looking people in Marine Corps class A winter uniforms (I have one) and courtroom drama.  A mild R in my view (a few F-bombs and The Jack talking about sex with an officer).

Emily was first (why am I not supprised) got it from the second quote I believe.  Then on Friday, Matt and then Dan.  Alex and Haley made guesses with space movies because of the first quote.  Nice try!   Thanks for playing.

I too love this movie- enough in fact to ignore and tolerate Tom Cruise. I'm a sucker for courtroom dramas. Weird coincidence is that I put this in my vcr (I have it on VHS) last week and fell asleep to it, but didn't get far enough into it to watch that scene with the first quote in it. But it made me crazy until the second quote and knew it the instant I read it. Ah well. I finished it last night just for fun. I agree, it is a pretty soft R. Jack with his one inappropriate comment and then a little language now and then. Good movie.

Nice one ems. Alex also got it and sent the answer on facebook message and I didn't review that this noon when I did my research. Sorry Alex.

A good flick, definitely. Still can't place the galactically stupid line in it. Who says it, George, and when and to who?

Lt. Kaffie, (Cruise) says it to Demi Moore when they are all in the Apt. planning the trial. They just had a set back and he was mad. I think it was because she didn't ask her client if he was in the room and heard when the Lt. (Kiefer ) gave the code red to the two defendents. Make some sense? Remember the Private had duty and had a flat tire and had to jog back to the barracks and missed the meeting.
