I think in light of the trip to Mexico and the fact that Christmas is next week, we let this one run for 2 weeks--. I'll put on some holiday tunes and we'll relax. Even us sad sacks in Utah will try and find a way to relax in our igloos while you Mexico people do your relaxing at the beach. Haha just kidding! It was 52 degrees today! No igloos in sight! (No beaches in sight either though....)

Here's your quoty quote:

Person #1: How horrible our Christmas will be!
Person #2: No- how "jolly"!
Person #1: Oh. How jolly our Christmas will be.

#two

Are you a gambling man, Santa?

#three -only one guess so far!

"An interesting reaction........but what does it mean?"

#four -this one has GOT to bring in some wright guesses...

"Attacked by Christmas toys? That's strange, that's the second toy complaint we've had."

This is your last one....

"[singing] And on a dark cold night, under full moonlight, he flies into the fog like a vulture in the sky!
[in a deeper tone] And they call him, Sandy... Clawssss...! "

It's been a whole year since I heard Otis Redding's "Merry Christmas Baby". TOO LONG!

No clue on the movie yet, but some interesting Christmas songs, Em. Love the Tracy Chapman especially.

Hey, do any of you know the song "White Wine in the Son" from Tim Minchin? It's a new Christmas song I got turned onto this year. Minchin is an interesting guy, an athiest even. This song is really thoughtful and I guess you could call it a critique of much about Christmas and religion, but it's also very powerful and inspiring where it lands, which is all about the importance of families. The final two minutes where he starts singing about his infant daughter getting passed around the family "like a puppy at a primary school" (he's Australian) and her eventually coming to realize that these are the people who make her "feel safe in this world" and will always welcome her home makes me think of all of you and the passing of Elinor and Allison among you. Anyway, I hope you'll give it a chance. It's dominating my holiday music at the moment.

The song title is actually "White Wine in the Sun" not "Son." As I mentioned, he's Australian, which means Christmas season takes place smack dab in the middle of their summer.

We just came back from St. George and I think its the only place in Utah without snow (though there was rain and cold)!
We came home to buckets of rain in California though. I guess it makes it wintry. I don't mind sunny Christmas mornings though...
I am stumped about this quote though.. hmmm
Merry Christmas to everyone just the same!

That clue helped NOT AT ALL!

I'm with Laura on not needing snow for a happy Christmas...

Hee hee. For some reason that is a very memorable line from this movie to me. But perhaps it's just me.

No worries- I'll have more quotes for you very soon....

Hahaha! I had to laugh a little at Laura putting up the answer for all to see on Facebook messages. It's been a strange week and that is part of it. Mexico was just super! Lots of good times, good food, good service, good weather, good sun, crocks, turtles and Mariachies! Loved it!!
