I just had to post this little nugget after giggling about it so much while watching the Neil Christmas video. Marcus and I just watched Ace Ventura on tv the other night so that's why it was fresh on my mind. You can just picture in the diary things like, "Holly Holy", "Sweet Caroline", and "So Good So Good" instead of "laces out." Hehehe.

Have a Cherry Christmas everybody!

Sheesh lighten up guys, I thought it was pretty funny! :P I feel like crickets over here.....

I must admit that my silence stemmed from not quite getting it. I even watched the video to see if it would enlighten me. Nope. Then I waited to see if anyone would comment and enlighten me.

I am going to declare you officially pregnant though, according to your outburst. Giddy up girl.

Dear Haley,
Please don't kill me for that last comment oh Pregnant One.

Love you,
Auntie Em

Hehe... I second everything Em said. We love you Haley!

W.V. Shement. What you feel like you're mentally shwimming through when you're pregnant.

Hehe pregnant outburst! Totally. Ok let me explain. Just the whole time I was listening to Neil's song, Ace's voice saying "obsess much?" kept coming into my head and making me laugh. I guess it's only funny in my little pregnancy world. Now I feel dumb....

"Oh Pregnant One." -Emily

HAHAHAHA!

Don't feel dumb.

Things I have done while pregnant:

1. washed my hair not once, but twice mind you, with my body wash before I figured out that something was wrong.

2. walked around so crazy one night that Rob actually fashioned me a tin foil hat and put it on my head.

3. Ate at a restaurant with my car door left wide open.

4. Handed out endless amounts of the wrong menus at Riverside (lunch menus at dinner/ dinner menus at lunch).

5. Countless other things I can't remember since I did them under the effects of pregnancy brain. I'm sure Rob could inform you of many more examples.

I felt the same way Emily did. I wasn't sure I got it. I was pretty sure you were talking about Neil obsessing about himself or his songs, but I also wondered if you were directing towards us. :) I didn't have much time and decided to wait until more comments were made. Don't worry--we understand :) I'm glad you have pregnancy brain, cause that means I get another cutie to love!

Haha well I'm glad I'm not the only one that suffers from pregnancy brain. Even if you don't get it you can still laugh at Jim Carrey. I guess my pregnancy brain humor is too astute for the rest of you non-pregnant people. :)

Amy said...

Yep. Way ahead of us. But, you're right about Jim Carrey. He's always good for a laugh.

I am so confused! I do not have pregnancy brain, but this post looks different to me! I didn't post a comment before because I just didn't get the connection. I figured that it must have to do with a trip to Wyoming that I wasn't part of. Now the whole thing looks different! I'm confused.

I don't have pregnancy brain, but I have post car accident brain. I found out that one of the passengers in the car that hit the car that hit me is in critical condition and probably won't make it. That is kind of freaking me out. And I found out recently that the guy I've sat next to at work for about a year murdered his mother a few days before Thanksgiving.

SUE BRAIN HURT!!

I don't believe I fully get it either, even after Haley's explanations. You know Haley, I could look around for that tin foil hat, it may still be kicking around here if you (or Marcus) are interested or feel it might help.

I don't quite understand Sue's observations of "different" either. How is it different? I do understand how you would feel messed up at the moment, with what has been happening around you. That would freak me out too about the accident. I've never been involved in one where someone has been critically injured or died and I think it would seriously mess me up. Even if like you, I had absolutely nothing to do with the cause. Also, I've been wanting some more details about this murder situation for some time now.

By different, I mean I thought this was titled "Laces Out Neil" or something like that. And I thought it was just the video posted before, now there seems to be an explanation. I don't remember the explanation about giggling. If I'm wrong about that than my brain hurts more than I thought.

I could be totally wrong. It has been a weird week. I'm not sure how to talk about John killing his mom.

Amy said...

I can sure understand, Sue, why you're brain would be hurting. Some tough stuff to deal with right now. As for the blog confusion, I haven't noticed any changes on my end. It seems the same as it was when posted.

B said...

Sue, I think you're right about it having a title before, but it did have the description from the beginning.

Emily said...

You guys are right! It was originally called, "Laces Out".

Weird.

Haley said...

I ERASED THE TITLE BECAUSE I FELT LIKE AN IDIOT BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE THINKS IT IS FUNNY!!!! I just think Neil is over obsessive about his songs and I just keep thinking about Ace saying, "obsess much?" THAT'S IT! Am I really that weird?? Sorry about your crazy week Sue, that's pretty crazy stuff.

Pops said...

No, you are not really that weird. Remember the thread on facebook or this blog about how the family just will not let anyone get by or slide by and we will forever remember it. Well, you now are our "Laces Out" girl. Live with it! It's only because we love you that we do this and because you are tough and can take it.

Emily said...

Yeah, not really that weird, and dad just said exactly what I was going to say about not getting away with anything. The question is: would you rather be the "laces out" girl or the "Marcus, the best rolls in the world are in Hawaii- and they're purple" girl? Keep in mind, you'll probably be both.

Haley said...

Yep I'm doomed.

Pops said...

Doomed to be forever in our hearts.

Matt Wright said...

MMMAAAARRRCUUUUUUUSSS.... The BEEESSST ROOOOLLSSS in the WOOORRRLLLD are in HawAAAIII...

Dan W said...

I want more details on "best rolls" line!

So sorry for all you're dealing with Sue. All my best.

Pops said...

Me to on the Best rolls are in Hawaii and they're purple quote. I never heard that before, but there are a lot of thing I don't hear.
