BEST OLD GUY ACTOR VOTE

If we go to those who have passed on, it will open a whole ball game sort of.  But I couldn't not leave Paul out.  He was good in his later movies.  i.e. Road to Perdition, Message in a Bottle, Nobody's fool, The Verdict and Color of Money.  Good actor in most everything he was in.
Redford is pretty good.  If you have seen Spy Game, The Last Castle and The Horse Whisperer you know what I mean.  His early movies were better however, and if he wins it would because of them.
Clint Eastwood:  One we have been talking about lately.  Gran Torino and others like, Million Dollar Baby, and I just saw half of Absolute Power just a while ago.
Robert Duvall, one of the best, if not the best, old guy actor.  Been in Secondhand Lions and Open Range, Lonesome Dove and many bit parts.   A true professional.
Let me know what you think with your comments.  Of course there are many others that I haven't put up a picture of.  Morgan Freeman, Peter O'toole and of course some English dudes and maybe best of all Sean Connelly.

I have to ponder on my favorite old guy actor, so he doesn't have to be on this list? Just wondering.

No he doesn't have to be on this list. Let's do it this way. The best of the four that are pictured and the "Best Ever" if he is not pictured. That would work. Enjoy!

I really like Jack Nicholson. Terms of Endearment, One Flew Over Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining and a list of many others. Of those you listed I like Paul Newman the best.

How old does an actor have to be in order to be considered. I've lately been blown away by the work of Tom Wilkinson (in Michael Clayton and the John Adams miniseries on HBO--he played Benjamin Franklin). He is 61.

I also love Jim Broadbent (age 60) and Dustin Hoffman (age 71--turns 72 on Ben's birthday). And is this a query about best work done after a certain age?

Yeah, I knew there would be some questions. Yes, my thought was the best work done after a certain age. Maybe 60 and over. I can't believe I forgot about Dustin Hoffman and The Jack. I don't know Tom Wilkinson or Jim Broadbent by name, Dan, but put them up. This is just to get you all thinking because we were talking about Clint so much lately. Just old guys that have aged well and have some good roles in there later years.

Spaced out. Sorry about using "there" instead of "their" I know better! It's been a long day at the airport.

I love Robert Duvall in Open Range. One of my favorite characters/performances of all time. But my vote goes to Clint Eastwood. It's not really even a contest. He wins best of the 4 and best older actor over all. Clint is crazy talented. He acts, directs, produces and even writes the music to some of his movies. Mystic River and Gran Torino are great movies.

Based on best work after 60, I have to go also with Clint Eastwood. He has made so many and done such good work. Yeah, Clint! Next is Sean Conelly (sp)?. I base that on The Rock, The Untouchables, his voice and good looks. His is the man! The Jack, is next because of so many movies he has done including The Bucket List, the one with H. Hunt and Greg Kinner and the dog. One after another and he is always Jack N. I hate to put Robert Duvall behind these other guys, because he is my favorite. I just love his work and looks and coolness. Open Range is the best almost ever western. (plus it has my boy, Kevin, in it) Duvall should be 2nd behind only Clint. Thinks for thinking, peeps.

"Thinks for thinking"? Aaaughhh!

Best movie Jack has done lately is The Departed. That is a great movie!

Dad, it's Sean Connery. And I can't watch him anymore. SNL ruined him for me with their Jeopardy skits. I can't hear Connery say anything without thinking "that's not what your mother said Alex".

I'm glad I never watch SNL. Yeah, an I know its Connery. I'm a moron.
