Sunday's With Sue 8/30/9

Grease is the word is the word that you heard....... I went with a movie that is probably on every girl's top 10 favorite movie list, Grease! I probably know every line of this movie by heart, definitely every song by heart. It's also a movie that makes my husband, and probably most husband's, roll their eyes when they catch us watching it on cable. And I forgot to do a Friday quote. Sorry, with Cam coming home on Friday's, I don't really think about hopping on the computer.

Haley guessed first! Way to go Haley! I guess we are all in for some Josh Goblin for the next week. Jeanine got it next, she wasn't sure she was Wright, because Grease doesn't seem like a movie I would pick. But, yes Jeanine, even though I love zombie movies and Quentin Tarantino movies, there is a place in my heart for Grease. Em was next, then Cat. Didn't hear from any of the guys! I guess that isn't a big surprise.

Here is this week's quote:

There are more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Congrats Haley! Good job, I am a little shamed and I'd guess Cat is too. I knew the 2nd line right away and then of course knew the first quote, I just wasn't going there at all in my brain. I was reading it with different things in mind and must not have tried too hard. I'm glad you got it, and the half naked picture of John Denver made me laugh so hard I had to use that one.

Not one Josh Goblin Sue (or whatever you called him).

JOSH GOBLIN!! HAHAHAH!!
Speaking of zombie movies Sue, have you seen the previews for Zombie Land?! Looks so rad! I want to see it way bad, Woody Harrelson is my favorite actor right now.
This SWS drove me nuts! I knew I knew it, and had seen it a ton when I was little. It makes me happy that you won though Haley, you were obsessed with this movie when we were kids.
I must give a shout out to the Phister family home video of haley singing Grease in the back yard taking it WAY too serious and even touching the note in the water in their little plastic pool like Sandra Dee! I laughed so hard when I transfered that footage!
Great playlist too, I dig all of this stuff actually. Micheal Buble really has an awesome voice. I love it. Adam Lambert is freakish enough for me to like him. John Denver makes me smile everytime I hear his voice. Who doesn't like M.J.? And it sounds lame, and every couple has them- But Starlight by Muse is one of "mine and B's songs"
(and probably 500 other couples)

Wow. Long comment from Matt. What the bip?

Good job Haley! Glad you got a win. I wasn't even close. Not surprising for me these days. Emily is totally responsible for the Phister family Grease footage. She was babysitting my kids when they did that. I will take a little responsibility for the creative genius displayed. Haley was the funniest as Sandra Dee. But, Sarah singing "Sandy" on our swingset is pretty funny, too, and who can forget Kelly doing "Greased Lightning" with Sarah & Haley as back-up T-Birds on the hood of the car. Great times!

Love your playlist, too, Haley.

Way to go Haley! Glad you got it, as you suspected! Funny, too, that none of us guys ventured a guess. I actually like some of the music but totally started getting how dirty that movie was later in life (especially songs like Greased Lightning and the basic message that Sandy needs to slut herself up). Pretty sad but fun times anyway.

I also like your playlist! Matt, what do you think of Adam Lambert's Ring of Fire? That's my favorite of his freaky takes on songs. Looking forward to his album for sure. And Lorri has me into Michael Buble, too....

I think I'm right on this week's flick (though seeing how it's a Shakespeare line, I think, it could be from several movies. Can't wait for Wednesday clue to see...).

Yay! I got it sunday night, as soon as I read the first quote I could picture Rizo saying it. I guess watching that movie a million times as a kid paid off! Oh man we watched it endlessly. I was pretty shocked watching it later in life at all the bad stuff that I never understood as a child. Haha. Matt, why are you so surprised that you like my tunes?? I'm hurt, jk. I love PYT. Hated Danny's on idol. Yuck. Michael Buble's voice is so cool. Anyway, I really needed a win, it has been a while!

Nice! Waytogo, Haley. Nice win and I didn't have a clue with the hints. No supprise, for I don't think I have ever watched the whole movie. I can't stand Stockyard Channing, or whatever her name is. Good playlist, so I'm glad you won. J.T. is okay and O. N. John is so fine.

Yeah Haley. I am glad I did get it right too. I loved that movie(still own it) and saw it in the theatres with my friends when I was 12 and then at my slumber party we all danced and sang to it. I even have the soundtrack. That could have been on my nerdy win:) I danced to greased lightning in my dance class too. John Travolta was totally cute back then. LOL.Have a good week everyone!

Oh my goodness, John was my first crush. He was so cute!

Stockyard Channing, hee hee.

Haley- The "actually" in my comment was not to imply that I am surprised I like your playlist, but that others on here might be surprised that I love all this stuff.
Dan- I thought Ring Of Fire was a little weird, I won't go as far as Scott did in saying that it was a disrespectful slap in the face to Johnny Cash, but I do think that is the way the song should be sang. However, it was pretty creative and I didn't hate it.

Hehe I know Matt, I was just teasing.

Matt, yes I've seen the Zomie Land trailers. It looks great! I love Woody Harrelson too. Maybe we can see it together when you guys are in town next.

I'm going to do 2 quotes today because I'm going camping tomorrow and won't be home until Saturday.

Quote #1- A little more than kin but less than kind.

Quote #2- For there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

Matt Wright said...

That sounds way fun!! Lets do it when we come see Ells and Lola.

"I WANT TO LOVE YOU!!... PRETTY YOUNG THING!!"

We watched Grease friday night! It was fun. Grease 2 came on after it and B loves that too so we watched a lot of it till I started falling asleep. I went to bed and B stayed up! Can you believe that?!

I don't think we have had a "Wednesdays With Wue" yet, it's sure keeping me on my toes!
I am sure you are way busy Sue. (and maybe a little sick of doing this)
