I CAN HEAR! I CAN HEAR!

You all know that for years I could not hear squat. I would miss at least half of the conversations we had when we were all together. Very frustrating for me and mom and all of you trying to talk to me. I hated it when I would just tune out and let it all happen around me. Mom was about to throw me out the door if I didn't do something and get some devise to aid my hearing. So today I got fitted with two pretty remarkable hearing aids. Not very visual, but they work well. The big part holds the battey, the reciever, amp. and the clear tube goes to the speaker thing in the ear canal. It is all very compfortable. I can't wait to teach my class in Sunday School and be able to hear the questions. I used to come out of Bishopric meetings crying to myself because I could not hear half of what was said and who they were talking about. I now can even understand Bronwyn when she talks. That alone is worth it all....

You can see by this picture that the devise is not very noticeable. Looks never bothered me for I am too old to care what people think. I just like it because they work and they are programable to meet my hearing needs and I can get the sound pickup levels changed anytime I want or need to. Be happy for me, peeps. I can hear the rain falling, the birds singing and B talking.

Holy crap hell froze over. I am SO GLAD you finally did that. I bet the world is a whole new place and I am so happy for you (and mom). Yay!

Dad, I can't even tell you how happy I am for you! It really makes a difference around here already. You are the best, and whenever you add input to a conversation, either everyone shuts up and really values your opinion, or laugh's hysterically because of how funny you are. It will be so nice to have more of this! I am so excited to have you with us again! Go Pops! haha.

Oh my gosh Dad, holy crap! You have no idea how happy I am that you did this! What a difference this is going to make for the whole family! But, especially for Mom, thanks for doing it, it will be so great for Mom and the rest of us! Does this mean I don't need to yell into my cell phone anymore when I talk to you? whoo hoo! This is great Dad, and just so you know, I had to look at the picture for a couple of minutes before I even saw the little tube thing. This is a great day for the Wrights.

Love you Dad, and I am just kind of wondering why you keep labeling your posts Wright Family Stuff Exchange. The Grandpa Chatterton post, Duncan post, and now the hearing aid post are all labeled that. Perhaps you have a different interpretation of what that label is? If so, that's cool, I'm just wondering that's all.

"Hell froze over" good one, Ems. Thanks for the support and love you guys. Did you know my computer keyboard goes clacky, clack when I type? I can't believe how much noise a chip bag makes when you put your hand in it. I am learning new things every hour.

Sue: I'll byte. What does Wright family stuff exchange mean if it is not conversation or exchange of information? Please enlighten me.

YAAAAY!!! Although now I feel nervous when I'm talking to you because you hear me the first time and I don't get a chance to revise what I said. Also, no more secret conversations in front of you!! We're all so glad you did this!!!!

Sue: Matt explained to me what Wright Exchange Stuff meant. I didn't know that we would or could post stuff (things) that we wanted to throw away or sell and offer it to the family. Trade or barter or whatever. Nice! I got a 16 OZ claw hammer with a broken handle and a rusted head. Any takers????

I am so happy to "hear" you can hear again! I know it was frustrating for you. We take for granted our senses. It is amazing how small and effective the new devices are now. I have seen a lot of changes over the years. Enjoy your new life!
