It's Halloween time!!!!!!

Whoo hoo! It's Halloween time, and you all know how much I love this holiday! I love everything about it, the weather, the costumes, the decorations, the movies, just everything! I had Booker here last weekend to help me decorate the house, we had a great time. I'll post pictures when I get all the finishing touches down, but I'll probably just post them on my personal blog, it needs an update. But, I wanted to do this post to remind you all of something...

keep scrolling down........

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Love you Cat! Best cookie ever!

hahahaha! YAY! Best cookie ever indeed.

My favorite things about Cat's cookie:

1. Obviously- the bolts done upside down.

2. the eyes. There is something about the eyes that just kills me.

3. The fact that Cat didn't realize anything was wrong with it until I pointed it out.

4. The way I pointed it out.

Good stuff, good memories. Thanks Sue (and thanks Cat for your demented Frankenstein).

Remembering how hard you were laughing Em, when you noticed the bolts, just makes me giggle to no end. The eyes kill me too, so does the mouth. I pretty much forgot about this picture until Booker was here this weekend. We couldn't figure out how we had done something last year, and I thought "I took pictures!" So Boo and I looked up the Halloween pictures from last year, and I came across this picture. Made me laugh so hard!

So funny. I think just the face is funny in and of itself! I love the eyes too and the little straight mouth gives it a nice touch. I love inside jokes...I'd love to be a part of one someday....

Haley, this is not an inside joke. I did a post last October about the Halloween cookie decorating day, and how funny Cat's cookie was. Just go to the labels under "Random Sue Stuff" and scroll down, past the "Happy Birthday Linda Evans" post, and you will see the original post, and the story behind it.

Hee hee I know Sue I remember. That was sweet of you. I was just using a Michael Scott line. Guess it backfired on me.

Nice M. Scott shout out Hales!

I think we still have this cookie in a shoe box somewhere maybe... haha. So funny! Wish I was there. One funny thing about this picture is that it's next to this totally decked out one, I mean, full on stitches and blood and teeth and defined hair. Then next to it is Catherine's... HAHAHA

Wow, crazy. I just got done typing and posted that and there were two of you that beat me to it! What's up guys!? It's like we are chatting! I obviously knew it was an Office quote Haley. So you can be rest assured it didn't backfire over here. :)

I didn't recognize it as a Michael Scott quote! I totally see it now. I really thought Haley was feeling bad that there was some inside joke she wasn't part of. Guess the joke is on me! haha!

TBS had an Office marathon on yesterday, I watched like 6 episodes. Man, I love that show.

And yes, Matt, one of the funniest parts of the picture is the juxtaposition of Cat's cookie next to Em's.

Now that I look at it even closer, the nose on Em's cookie isn't anything to oooo and awwww about. haha

Emily said...

Easy. Do you know how hard it is to fashion a good looking nose in frosting?

And Haley, I totally recognized that as a Micheal Scott line and chuckled. Then chuckled again when Sue took you seriously.

We should decorate cookies when you guys come up here for Thanksgiving. Matt puts on a pretty good show decorating, too. That cookie is so funny.

Sounds fun. I'd be all over that. Cookies and New Moon, sounds like a good weekend.

I still laugh so hard whenever that cookie comes to mind. In fact, I have that picture on my cork board at my desk at work. It is home to many things that either make me laugh or at least make me smile. Interested in it's contents? I'll list them:

A picture of Toby Maguire in his Spidey outfit, but with the mask off.

Sissy-Nar.

Alkaline Trio logo.

Kurt

My 'Neil Young Appreciation Society' button (pin).

A Gila Monster.

Professor Frink with his Hamburger earmuffs on.

Conor Oberst (a picture from the newspaper from a review of the show Matt, B and I went to in June).

That little girl that looks like Chris Farley.

2 pictures of dad.

One of Matt.

The Frankenstein cookies.

my cork board rocks!

Come on Cat. Two pictures of me? That reeks. I hate my pictures. A Gila monster is nice. One of the worlds uglyist lizards.

Your Toby Maguire obsession still cracks me up. You are pretty unpredictable sometimes Cat.

"Hear that Gila Monstas? Old Nick Beam here is gonna rob his boss! ... I say, do ya hear that Gila Monstas??!"

Cat said...

No way, Dad. These are great pictures. They are from some of your older facebook pictures. The one from your mission in your awesome coat and the one in your cowboy outfit by that blue truck. I love those pictures.

I think everyone should have a corkboard like that. I bet you're way more productive at work because you've got something to make you smile all day. It made me smile just hearing about it.

You got me, Cath...those are pretty good pictures and even I kindof like them. The El Centro cowboy one is pretty cool. I really was young once. You are sweet to have them taking up space on your pin board.

I like the picture of me on my mission in my Foster Grants that is used on this blog. So that is three that can stand. The last one is the one on the Babine river in B.C. with the Steelhead, Stetson hat and fly rod. Way cool!! That is four.

Oh come on, what about the one on the camping trip with your lovely hair and the 3-day beard growth on your face. You know, the one we put on your birthday cake. That's the best!

Pops said...

yeah, Amy, that one is okay also. That was after a Scout backpacking trip when I was a Scoutmaster. Ahh the good ol' days. I am sure glad they don't put 70 year old plus guys in Scouting anymore.
