Annie and Matt getting ready to get sling-shotted.
Rattlesnake Rapids!
This is what I mean by being an adventurous group!
Scout in the elephant with pink toenails with blue polka-dots, very important!
The babies!
The whole lot of us!
Thanks, Sue, for the discount tickets. We had so much fun.

Yea!! Big Weekend Fun
Let's go gang! River rafting is so fun. Thanks Amy and Scott for having the idea and putting it together. Stay dry! Yea! I uploaded the top pic based on Emily's instructions in the comments section. Thanks, Ems. The second numbers was the key to the size and the part that I did not remember. I am sure Matt has told me this about a half-jillion times. I am such a moron!

WTB Movie Quiz
Loved Zoolander. Dan is wright. One of the stupidest, but funny movie of all time. One needs to be a little whack to enjoy it, but that includes all of you players.
From Montana here is the new WTB movie of the week. You that are coming to Riverton for the big weekend will probabally knock me upside my head for picking such an obscure movie this week. Well, too bad, peeps! You need a challange.
Quote: "I'd never given much thought to how I would die...but dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go."
Good luck and hope you enjoy my playlist of music. I am staying well away from the Dan, Emily, Matt music discussion. I kinda side with Amy, Haley in the music department.

WEDNESDAY: I can't believe I am giving you such a nice big softball to hit. Maybe I am looking for a "get it wright record" Maybe since many of us will be together in Wyoming this weekend, I don't want any of you to be mad at me. Whatever! Here is more of the insipid conversation from the movie. QUOTE:
Person 1: "Are you going to tell me how you stopped the van?
Person 2: "Yeah. Um.. I had an adrenaline rush. It's very common. You can Google it."
Giveaway Friday, if I have not already let the dogs out of the bag.
Person 1: Did you follow me?
Person 2: I...I feel very protective of you.
Person 1: So you followed me.
Person 2: I was trying to keep a distance unless you needed my help and then I heard what those low-lives were thinking.
Person 1 Wait. you say you heard what they were thinking:
So what you....you read minds?
Person 2. I can read every mind in this room apart from yours. There's...money - Sex - money - sex - cat. and then you. Nothing....that's very frustrating.
Person 1. Is there something wrong with me?
Person 2. See....I tell you I can read minds and you think there's something wrong with you?
Quote #2: Mike: You and Cullen huh?
(she nods)
Mike: I don't like it. He looks at you like...you're something to eat.
Hahaha.... Let's have a fun weekend...
WTB--Zoolander!
One of the funniest, although also stupidist, movies of all time! Glad to know there are other fans out there in Wright land! Too many fun quotes to choose from! Here are some that I didn't include:
Derek: Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?
Derek: Seriously, do you like service yourself ten times a day?
Derek: I'm not an ambi-turner.
Hansel: You is talking loco and I like it!
Derek: Are you here to tell me what a bad eugoogoolizer I am?
Matilda: A what?
Derek: A eugoogoolizer... one who speaks at funerals. . . . Or did you think I was too stupid to know what a eugoogooly was?
Matilda: When I was in 7th grade, I was... the fat kid in my class.
Derek: Ew!
J.P. Prewitt: Male models don't think for themselves.
Derek: That's not true!
J.P. Prewitt: Yes it is, Derek.
Derek: [meekly] Okay.
Derek: So join now, 'cause at the Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too, we teach you that there's more to life than just being really, really, really good looking. Right kids?
And there are more! Way too funny.
So now for the results! Two people got it from the first clue: George and Matt. George came in with the wright guess at 5:40 Sunday afternoon and Matt at 10:43 Monday, so it really wasn't even close! Way to go, George/Pops! Congrats and Happy Birthday today (and Happy Father's day the day you sent in the wright answer)!
Haley got it next, after the Wed clues. Sue followed, getting it off the Thursday clues. Cat entered a good but wrong guess early in the week but got it wright on Friday, and she was quickly followed by our lovely standings leader with bad taste in music, Em. That's it!
Wild, Jeanine, that you may not have seen it (or at least can't remember). Don't know where Alex or Amy or B were this go round either. If you haven't seen it, you guys all need to have a viewing when you're together this coming weekend for Eclipse and all the 4th of July fun!
Congrats, again, George! You have really moved up the scoreboard! The contest (and playlist--sniff, sniff!) is all yours for the coming week.

WTB
Okay, Wrights and others. I've picked a movie that I have to believe would qualify as a Wright classic. Surprised, actually, that it hasn't been chosen before.
Here goes Clue #1:
I felt like, "This guy's really hurting me." And it hurt.
Good luck! Write me through Facebook to register your guesses.
Here is the Wednesday clue. Hope you can get it. If not, I have some planned later that will for sure give it away to anyone who's seen it:
I friggin' worship you, man!
Hoping to generate some more guesses, I'm adding a couple of Thursday clues here.
Thursday clues (this first one and all the above are said by the same character):
Whoa, whoa, easy! How 'bout a "Good afternoon, _______ and ______. Thanks for the freak fest last night."
This second one is said by a different character (and not in the same scene as the above):
I'm sorry I was wack. (Dan note: This is how the memorable quote site spelled it, but it could be "whack.")
Good luck! I have some Friday ones in mind that will totally give it away....
FRIDAY GIVEAWAY CLUES:
Clue 1:
"I'm sorry that good-looking people like us made you throw up and feel bad about yourself."
Clue 2 (by same character but in a different scene):
How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read if they can't even fit inside the building?
Clue 3 (probably my favorite of all lines in the movie):
Person 1: I became. . .
Person 2: What?
Person 1: Bulimic.
Person 3: You can read minds?
Here goes Clue #1:
I felt like, "This guy's really hurting me." And it hurt.
Good luck! Write me through Facebook to register your guesses.

Well, I must say, it was a very disappointing week for guesses. I only got 3, count em, 3 guesses. And two of those were Dan! Way to go Dan you won, despite thinking you were going to be too late on the thursday clue. Oh no, the only competition you had was my mom that guessed wright on friday. Dan also guessed Cheaper by the Dozen from the first quote. Good guess. That was it! Has nobody else seen this, or what? If not, this is a GREAT movie. I love it. Sandra Bullock is so hilarious in it. Really great movie about how love and life doesn't always turn out how you wish or hope. Anyway, watch it peeps!
Take it away Dan!

Haley's WTB
Wow can't believe I won again! So, I have been out of it this last week because our stupid internet went out and we are waiting for a new modem to arrive. It is such a pain because Marcus and I have had to take turns going to the library to get our homework done! AGH! As if it isn't hard enough. So anyway, here is your new quote for the week:
Person: You're born into a family. You do not join them like you do the Marines.
Person 1: I guess I don't remember meeting you.
Person 2: Well, that's probably because we've never met.
Person 1: That could have something to do with it.
***2nd wednesday clue***
Since you guys are struggling I will add a second clue for today.
Person 1: Doesn't anybody use a phone anymore?
Person 2: I do.
Person 1: I'm not talking about 900 numbers.
Person 2: Who told?!
***THURSDAY CLUE***
You guys obviously need some help on this one so I will put up a special thursday clue that is pretty easy if you have seen the movie.
Person 1: The truth was that I fell in love with you.
Person 2: You fell in love with me?
Person 1: No, N-o, yes. All of you. I went from being all alone to being a fiancee, a daughter a granddaughter, a sister and a friend.
***FRIDAY GIVEAWAY***
Lucy: I'm having an affair. I like Jack.
Jerry: Who's Jack?
Lucy: Peter's brother.
Jerry: So?
Lucy: So he thinks I'm engaged.
Jerry: To who?
Lucy: To Peter.
Jerry: Lucy, I really don't have time for this.
Lucy: No, you have to tell me what to do.
Jerry: Tell the truth.
Lucy: If I tell Jack I lied to his family he will never speak to me again. And Ox and Midge and Mary and Saul.
Jerry: Saul? Who's Saul?
Lucy: The next door neighbor. But you know what? Actually, he knows.
Jerry: Lucy, you are born into a family. You do not join them like you do the marines.
Lucy: So what should I do?
Jerry: Pull the plug.
Lucy: You're sick.
Jerry: I'm sick? You're cheating on a vegetable.
Good luck!
Person: You're born into a family. You do not join them like you do the Marines.

WTB Movie
I just love this movie. I see it all the time on cable and own two copies. The story, the acting and the message must just talk to me. And then Emily tells me she has never seen the movie. Unbelievable! I have the urge to go down there and slap her face. How could anyone not have seen this top 10 best ever movie. Oh, well, her loss. Ems guessed the movie by the last famous quote this morning. "If you build it he will come". James Earl Jones is great. I could go on and on.
Our Haley hit it out of the park again. She was first in a tight fight. Jeanine was just an hour and a half after Haley and Dan was a half hour behind Neaners. Sorry, Jeanine, I wanted to see you have a win. Way to go, Haley. You are on a roll. Matt guessed it after fridays give away clues.
Sorry about the small picture. I am using google images. I tried about 10 different images and tried to get the bigest and did all that I could think of and not a one came in larger that this one. What am I doing wrong? Any help out there? In comments I'll tell you about my morning if you are interested.

WTB Movie
I had some great quotes from the "Jerk" all worked up and then rememberd Dan's list of movies used on facebook and looked and saw that the Jerk had been used. There will be a time when we will have to doubleup. That time is not yet for here is the movie of the Week. WTB?
1st person: "Fifty years ago, for five minutes you came within....y-you came this close. It would kill some men to get so close to their dream and not touch it. God, they'd consider it a tragedy."
2nd person: "Son, if I'd only gotten to be a doctor for five minutes....now that would have been a tragedy."
Have a great week you all.
WEDNESDAY QUOTE/CLUE:
Person 1: I'm going to beat you with a crowbar until you leave.
Person 2: You can't do that.
Person 1. There are no rules here? No, there are no rules here.
Person 2: YOU'RE A PACIFIST!
Person 1: Shit.
Bonus clue: Female: Hey, what if a voice calls while your're gone?
male: Take a message.
I just got back from Casper doing my annual burn certification for my aircraft firefighters licence. Fun stuff. I work this weekend and I just learned the governor is flying to Riverton tomorrow morning at 7 am and meeting with some officials and getting in a Blackhawk and touring the flood rivers in our area. I get to be at the meetings and set itup. I need to shave and wear a clean shirt.
Friday give away quotes:
1. The Voice: "If you build it, he will come."
2. Annie: "At least he is not a book burner, you Nazi cow."
3. Is this heaven? No It's Iowa.
The blog has sure been quiet this week. Are you all wore out from lagoon or just busy, or lost interest?
WTB
This is seriously a great movie! It was really fun looking back at the quotes and laughing so hard. This is one of the few movies I own. For those who haven't seen it, definitely watch it soon. Bill Murray is hilarious in this. Sorry, I couldn't do it yesterday, we were at lagoon all day and then didn't get home until late and I was too tired.
Well, Grandpa George is the winner!! He got it very soon after I posted the first quote. Then Emily was next, then B and Matt, then Amy, then Sue, then Cath, and then Dan! Good job everyone! Alright, take it away Gramps!

UNDER THE RADAR ***Stars
Remember this one, anybody? I have always liked this movie and saw it a few times when it first came out in 2000. I haven't seen it on cable for a long time and decided to Netflix it and so I did. Mom and I saw it tonight while most of you were still at Lagoon bunnjee jumping and eating corn dogs. Sean Connery is pretty much always good and and this picture is no exception. He is a reclusive author and mentors a talented black kid with a talent. Good story and it will make you think a little. Do yourselves a favor and watch it.

VISIT WITH GRANDPA
Mom giving Grandpa a look at the family blog and at his Great, great granddaughter Allison.
Last week about Wed. Mom was talking to Maryanne and the concern regarding the health of moms Dad. He has gained like 45 lbs of fluid in his body and was on a strong diruric (sp) that was working some but he could only take it for about 10 days because it was so toxic to his kidneys and the dosage was to run out about May 31. Mom said to me that she felt she needed to go visit him and Maryanne. The Spirit must have touched me also, because I wasn't my usual jerk self saying things like "no way!" Too Far, cost too much" etc. We both thought that this past weekend would be a good time because of the holiday and her store would be closed and I could get off and all that. I looked into flying on the internet and it was really expensive. 7 to 8 hundred each ticket and that was flying to Eugene or Portland and driving down to Medford. Any way, we decided to drive and save about $1,700.00. So we did. Took off From Riverton on Friday afternoon about 2 Pm and drove to Elko, NV. Spent the night and got to Medford about 5 in the afternoon. They were so excited and pleased to see us. We all went out to dinner at McGraffs. Don is so frail and his legs are full of fluid and swollen, but he carefully walks with a walker and they have the routine down getting into and out of the car and it went really well. We stayed up till 11 pm talking and laughing and went to bed. The next day, Sunday, we stayed in the house talking and eating and just having some fun. It was very good for Maryanne to have us there. It really lifted their spirits to have some company and talk about life, death and spiritual things. We watched some BYU channel TV (They watch it a lot now days after they got in on their new TV cable. Monday mom and Maryanne went to do some shopping and Don and I stayed and talked about work, golf, church and guy stuff and then took a nap. When they got back we out to the Olive Garden for a late lunch and then we took off for home. We drove to Winnamuca. Got there about 11:00 pm and then today drove home. We put 2165 miles on the car. Riverton to Medford and back. We were blessed that everything went well with the car and driving and we are glad we made the trip. Mom was sad when she said good by to her dad, as that would be probabally be the last time she will see him in this life. I know it was the wright thing to do and we raised their spirits a great deal and it gave Maryanne the lift she needs to deal with the coming weeks. She said she is thinking and planning to bury him at a military cemetary just a few miles (8 or 9) from Medford.
