Due Date

I can't seem to get an image to upload. Who cares. My point is: Stay away from this movie!!! I cannot stress that enough. It is terrible. Travis brought it home last night and I did not like it at all. The writing was terrible, and it was just not funny. As hard as it tried to be, it failed miserably. And I like Robert Downey. Zac Galaifinakis sometimes makes me laugh, but this movie sucked so bad. It tried to be like Ps, Ts and As. Straight-edge guy ending up being forced to travel with this doofus. Just terrible. The dog is cute in it, though. I love French Bulldogs. I would totally get one of those. All of our movies are still in storage and we don't have our dish hooked up yet. So we've been red boxing it. Last night we got Dinner For Schmucks. And I'm sorry Em and Rob, but we thought it was really funny! We laughed a lot through it.

I heard from a reviews that the movie was pretty bad. I have not been tempted to see it and I too like Downey Jr. Thanks for the tip.

I half saw a stinker last night. The Machineist with Christen Bale. He is still losing weight as per The Fighter, but this movie stinks. I had it on fast forward a lot just to get to the end and see what it was all about. Don't be tempted to see the movie because it has Bale in it. Not worth it and not any redeeming value.

When I wrote the above comment I got thinking there might be some that didn't mind it or even liked it. So be it. That is what makes the world go around. The twist at the end that explains the insomnia and the weird cutting up the film was the only thing that made sense. But, boy, was he scary skinny. I hated that look. Better when he was Batman.

I know! He was absolutely skeletal. Way to really embrace a roll, huh? His doctor got upset with him because that amount of weightloss has health risks, like anorexia does.

I'm kind of torn. Due Date is on my queue with Netflix. I love Robert Downey Jr! I also like Zach Galifianakis quite a bit. Although it totally annoys me that he is my ex-husband's doppelganger. I heard the bad reviews, but ignored them. But Cat and I have pretty similar tastes, although she liked Hancock and I thought it sucked. hmmmm, maybe I'll take it off my queue and wait until it streams instantly on Netflix.

I liked the Machinist quite a bit. That is one of about 5 movies Cam and I have seen together in the theater. Christian Bale totally freaked me out with his skinniness. I could not believe he lost that amount of weight. I liked the story quite a bit and really liked the ending. Sorry dad.

That is okay you liked the Machinist, Sue. I still have some "old school" tastes and values or something. I just didn't get into it at all. I watched "The Company Men" the other night and liked it a lot. Good story and well acted and said a lot about the economy and the age we are living in. 3 stars at least.
