Sunday's With Sue

Back to the Future! I don't think I've seen this movie since it was in the theaters! I remember going with our brother Ben. I think I'm going to put it on my Netflix, or borrow it from someone. Reading through the quotes reminded me how good this movie is. No one got it from the first quote. Dan guessed Transformers from the first quote. Then I put the second quote on and the guesses came in. Dan was first to guess Wright! Then Dad, then Emily, then Haley. It was killing Haley, she knew that she knew it! I love it when that happens! That's all the guesses I got. I didn't do a Friday this time. I usually do one when pretty much everyone is having a hard time. Let me know if you would like me to always to a Friday quote. So, way to go Dan! You are becoming a force to be reckoned with! Haven't heard from Matt in awhile. What's up with that little bro?

Here is this week's movie quote:

Not so fast roundboy. We're gonna have some laughs.

I can't believe I didn't get this. I've seen this movie a lot, but not recently. Good job guys!

BTTF is an all-time favorite around the Spoon house. In fact, Lorri announced to me that we were pregnant with Alex using the line "Dad. . . Dad. . . Daddy-o." Sue, I still can't recall, however, the context for the scene with the first clue about the car having a blindspot. Can you fill in?

Thanks for letting me into this game. It's fun. I only think I've won a time or two because I'm working from home these days and end up checking email and various sites a few times too often during the day and can get my guesses in decently quick. No clue, though, on this week's film.

I had no idea about the first quote either, but the second one was easy, I was just too slow!

What all is this calling out for Matt? Maybe he's decided to take a web vow of silence too. If so, rock on, bro!

Emily said...

Ah- no Cat, that's something you would do. About a week ago he said he has fallen behind on the blog and gets overwhelmed with the thought of catching up.

Yeah! That's wright about Matt. He is just busy with school in writing some papers and finishing the project and working his business and such. I haven't talked to him about the blog, but he will get back to it I am sure. Matt and had a trip to Graybull and Lovell Sunday afternoon and Monday, filming his guy from the State. Good time being with Matt. Played rummy Sunday night. Good one Dan! you are the force!
New sws. Roundboy??? Is that Charles Barkley?

Quiet blog today. I had to share Rob's wv he had today (on a different site) it was too funny. It was "chubby but"
It was so funny in fact he had to call me up from downstairs to see it.

By the way== I need a Wed. hint.

Haley said...

Haha!! That is way funny! I also need a hint.

Sue said...

Here is the Wednesday hint. Sorry it's so late. I've been weeding the garden since I got off work and time got away from me. Anyway, here is the hint quote:

If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have had my little....accident.

I need another hint....

Oh I know this. One of Randy and I's favorite movies when we were married. I am back! Recovering slowly but surely.

Dan W said...

Friday hint needed for me, too! Sounds like Jeanine knows it already, but I'm still hoping to guess it and get a "runner-up" mention in the blog stat box. (I live for glory, you know!)

Sorry I forgot to do the Friday hint! Here it is:

Ah...well, I attended Julliard...I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived throught the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that.

That doesn't help me one bit, dang it. Oh well, looking forward to next week's movie!

Until then, I'm off to the Eagles concert. Woo hoo!

Amy said...

Doesn't help me either. Have fun at the concert. Sounds fun.

Concert was awesome. Great band. Joe Walsh can play that guitar. They seemed to me to focus on their BIG SOUND songs last night, which was fun, though I missed some of their more mellow favorites and the ones where they really show their harmonies. They did end with Desperado, though, so that made up for it. It's in my top five all-time favorite songs. Overall a great night! Third time since 1999 we've seen them in concert, including in Vegas two days before the millennium (Lorri won the trip in a radio contest).

Eagles are so awesome. I finally saw them a couple years ago. I especially love Desperado too. Hope all is well with everyone. I am recovering slowly but surely. The dressing changes are a really a bummer. I have to do them 2 times a day. Trying to stay positive.

Pops said...

I like Linda Ronstats cover of Desperado better than the orginal.

No way, George! I think it must be a hangover you're having from how she LOOKS compared to Don Henley than from the performance. To me, her version lacks the proper pathos for the power of those lyrics. A guy telling another guy to stay away from the queen of diamonds and always go with the queen of hearts--that's way, way more effective.
