Sorry to be late in putting this up. Gone all day... I'll get a kickin playlist up on Monday (I know you all just can't wait!)
Here is this week's first quote:
Person 1: What are you writing?
Person 2: The usual. Nouns, adverbs, adjective here and there.
Here is Wednesday clue:
"I'm not against technology, doctor. I'm against the men who deify it at the expense of human truth."
Friday's clues will be pretty easy, so now is the time to get this one! If you've seen the movie a time or two, this is a pretty fair clue.
I've decided to add another slightly vague clue in order to generate more guesses. Friday's will definitely provide the full context, but this clue is also right on if you know and like this movie. I know some of you definitely do as we've discussed it.
Here is a Thursday clue:
. . . No words to describe it. Poetry! They should've sent a poet. So beautiful. So beautiful... I had no idea.
FRIDAY CLUES
I'll begin with the one I call the Joseph Smith quote (due to its similarity to something he said when challenged about his visions):
Person 1: Why don't you simply withdraw your testimony, and concede that this "journey to the center of the galaxy," in fact, never took place!
Person 2: Because I can't. I... had an experience... I can't prove it, I can't even explain it, but everything that I know as a human being, everything that I am tells me that it was real! I was given something wonderful, something that changed me forever... A vision... of the universe, that tells us, undeniably, how tiny, and insignificant and how... rare, and precious we all are! A vision that tells us that we belong to something that is greater then ourselves, that we are *not*, that none of us are alone! I wish... I... could share that... I wish, that everyone, if only for one... moment, could feel... that awe, and humility, and hope. But... That continues to be my wish.
The second clue is just for fun:
Jay Leno: So it turns out there's life on other planets. Boy, this is really going to change the Miss Universe contest, you know what I mean?
If you don't get the answer from these, you haven't seen the film!
Good luck!
Dan

Just thought I would announce that I added the "link within" feature to our family blog today, since I (and some of my readers) have had a good time revisiting some old posts that had been read and long forgotten.
I was further prompted to do this (from an on going conversations I've had with friends on my blog)since I reread the post: "B's most attractive celebrities", or something like that, and I had a great time reading it and all the comments.
Here's the link if you want to read it too: http://thekidswereallwright.blogspot.com/2009/01/bs-top-5-most-attractive-celebrities.html
Don't miss the one before it or after it featuring Matt's picks and celebs that have gone down hill.
My playlist is now up. My theme this time is Protest or Activist Songs--with one funny one thrown in that only mildly relates (can be seen as an indictment of those who romanticize "common people"). Hope you have fun listening!
Now what the heck is up with the "You might also like:" message and images that show up in my post! I didn't add those and can't see how to make them disappear. Help!
Half my comments aren't showing up today. I figure they will appear later, since they show up in my inbox, but here is the comment I made where I explain the link within feature.

I have cruised the last few posts and have come to realize that it isn't as fun on TKWAW since a huge chunk of our posts are wtbs and wtbs aren't that much fun to revisit.
That William Shatner song was one of the worst things I've heard in a while.
Worst? It's awesome!
The quotes are banging around my head but not connecting to any movie. I guess I need a Friday quote. I agree with Alex on the shatner song. Most of the others are rather interesting if not catchey.
I know you know the film, George. Keep thinking! Friday clues will give it away.
The Shatner song is supposed to be funny rather than good. So even if not connecting with you guys, I have affection for it, anyway.
Getting more familiar but I can't think of it. Good challenge.
I still feel clueless so either I'm having a total Amy moment or I haven't seen this.
Wow, Ems: You must not have seen it but that really supprises me. Anyway, your quote Dan, about her testimony of her experience in her "moment" of time always reminded me of Joseph Smith the dozen times I watched this movie. It has been a top ten for me a long time. Thanks for the memories.
That is a clue all by itself: that Pops loves this movie.
I have no idea.
Me either Haley. I probably will feel dumb when I hear the title. Glad you George know it.
