North By Northwest
Yes, North By Northwest is the movie I handed to you guys on a platter. I get a message from dad that says, "Wow! Easy clues. I have been off the internet for a day and a half. Been to Casper early today and just got back. The movie is North by Northwest. I would have gotten it with the Teddy Roosevelt looking clue." I couldn't help but laugh. YES! Easy clues indeed. Although, looks like this film is color. I swear I've seen it in black and white, so I don't know what's going on there. But I have a hard time believing that would have thrown anyone off if the other clues made sense to you. Have you guys not seen this? It is arguably Hitchcock's finest film (and #40 on the list AFI's 100 years, 100 films). Cary Grant plays a business man that is mistaken by some thugs to be a spy that has something on their boss. So this innocent man is thrown into a big mess that is suspenseful and really good action, especially for the time. Watch it! And I'm going to watch it again.
I mentioned that pop's did indeed get the right answer. Unfortunately for you pops, you spent 22 minutes too long in Casper, cause Dan pieced it together by the clues just before you got on the computer. That would be it! That would be all the guesses I even got. Kids Were All Wright peeps are S-L-E-E-P-I-N-G this week!
Giddy-up Dan

Haven't seen it although this is one of my dad's favorite movies. He talks about it all the time. I need to see it.
AAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the movie we have on Netflix. We've had it for like a month, and haven't had any time to watch it. Stupid stupid stupid!!!!!!
Man I feel guilty if George knew it from earlier clues. I actually did guess a Woody Allen flick during the week, but I needed the hint that it was Hitchcock before sending in the wright guess. Oh well. I'm still taking the win, baby!
I'll start the new contest later today. Got a good one in mind, I think. Not a huge, huge hit, but thoughtful and definitely on most of your radars, I would think.
Haha B! So close! That's crazy that you have it at your house. Bit of a coincidence I'd say. Didn't know Scott was fond of this movie, should have asked him, I bet he would have gotten it from the Wed clue. Dan, I totally forgot you guessed Woody Allen. I re read the quote after you sent that in and could see that conversation in a Woody Allen movie, I thought it was a good guess. Manhattan is very well worth watching.
Yes, Scott loves this movie and I'm sure he would have gotten it. No sleeping around here. Too busy. Trip to St. George for grandma's funeral then a trip to Billings this weekend for meetings. I've seen it and liked it, but I'm lame as usual.
Let's see-- time to play "who's Marcus today?" I guess Amy!!
haha, I was thinking it must be Amy too when I read the email.
I have seen this movie only once and it's been years. The quotes were not even familiar to me at all. I'll have to watch it again.
I've also tried to do some investigating on the black and white vs color. I haven't found anything that clearly states the original was black and white. I have found a couple of websites that mention a black and white version with a little green added. I did find a lot of references to the movie being remastered into a full color movie a few years back at the 50th anniversary of it's release.
Yes, Marcus was Amy. So many people using our computer.
