I know someone on awkward family photos!!

I spent a lot of time at work today cruising the awkward family photos website. It was really slow at work and I hadn't checked out the website in awhile. After I got a few pages in, I thought how funny it would be to see a picture of someone I knew. Well, guess what? I got to page 25 and it happened! It is a picture of a woman sitting in a huge chair with a man standing behind her. I immediately recognized the chair as being in the lobby of The Hotel Indigo I stayed at while on a business trip in Atlanta. The Indigo was a new hotel chain the company I used to work for started. The one in Atlanta was the first one and a few of us got to go there and stay at the hotel. I'm almost positive the two in the picture are both managers at the hotel. They look very familiar, especially her. I think her name is Sarah.

I've included a link to the page. It's the third picture down. Please take the time to check out the first picture on the page the "confidence girls" because wow! I also included a link to the hotel's website so you can see pictures of the lobby I'm talking about. And just before I started this post I noticed I had a pencil from that hotel on my desk. I took a picture of it and included it.

I forgot to mention. You guys have to check out one of the pictures on the very first page of awkward family photos. I think they call it the Twilight Zone. It's creepy!

Sue, you should totally post that engagement photo on there. Pretty please? Or at least put it on the blog!!

I thought the couple posing with the statue was funny too. Some people! Hopefully one of my embarrassing photos won't end up on the site. Lol.

You mean the engagement picture I turned into a puppet? haha I should post it, that is a perfect picture for that site.

What did you think of that chair when you went to that hotel? It really is GIANT.

That Twighlight Zone pic is so creepy! I saw it last night. The lady on the far left's pose is just chilling.

Haha! You totally need to put that engagement pic on the site Sue! It's hilarious, and you need to make sure that they know that it is an engagement picture, that's what makes it so funny!

I'm not sure which engagement picture you're talking about. Fill me in. Or I will look forward to seeing it on the site!

You saw it, the one that they are wearing just old t-shirts and sitting up on the rock. So funny.

Yes, the chair is giant. They did that for a few reasons. They wanted to create something different, so they designed the hotel after some "boutique" style hotels in Europe. There is a restaurnat at the hotel, but there is not much seating for it. There is a bar you can sit at and just a couple small tables. So, they designed the chairs so you could eat at them. The arms are big enough that your dinner/lunch plate can easily fit on it.

They also thought it would be nice for people who wanted to sit in the lobby and use their laptops, so the arms of the chairs are big enough to hold a laptop. The idea is to get people to hang out in the lobby of a cool hotel, rather than spend all their time in their room.

Those big chairs are very comfortable, I think I sat in the very one that is in the picture.

Cat-- Sorry, but playlist.com does not have that other Conor song you asked for. On a slightly related note, the song Sausalito is currently inspiring the Bean to do a vaguely creepy, munchkin-like dance.

That's OK, Em. I would love to see that dance, that's hilarious.

I took a few pics of Scout this morning to add to a blog post I wrote and in one, she happened to display the dance, so I posted it just for you! Enjoy.

Now I remember the picture. I was thinking it was one of your engagement pics and I couldn't remember one worthy of the website.
