Sunday's With Sue

Roseanne! One of the best TV shows that has ever been made. The Roseanne show had a great cast and was so well written. I've watched a lot of episodes lately because Nick at Nite has been doing Roseanne marathons. I'm not a fan of the post lottery win seasons, but the shows up to that story line are classic. Sorry Dad, I won't do TV shows often. Here is a little tie-in with last week's Sunday's with Sue. The guy that played Danny in Caddyshack, was Fred in Roseanne!

Cat guessed first! So we are in for more Conor! (Hey, that was the last name of the family on Roseanne!) Emily was second to get it right, and that was it. Haley guessed Seinfeld and Dan thought it might be Family guy.

Here is this week's quote from a movie:

You think you hate it now, wait'll you drive it!

I have been watching it lately on Nick at Nite too. Didn't recognize quotes. Oh well. Great show. She is a bit annoying but funny at times. I love the old sitcoms. Fresh Prince, Family Matters,Full House etc..

Roseanne is hud!!!!!

Ha! I had to laugh for a minute at Jeanine and her comment of "old Sitcoms" Fresh Prince et.al. For me old sitcoms are: All in the Family, I love Lucy, Mary Tyler Moore show, The Honeymooners, The Andy Griffith show, and the like. Now those were good. How can you beat Archie Bunker and Meathead?

WV is gizented. That's me.

Congrats, Cat! My Family Guy guess was simply out of a clue or two sounding a bit white-trashish (or blue-collarish). So knowing now it was Roseanne makes me feel good about that guess. I suppose I watched the show some back in its day but it was never a priority.

I'm with George's generation, I guess, more than Jeanine's as for me "old" sitcoms mean more like All in the Family and MTM rather than Fresh Prince, etc. Damn, guess I'm sort of old...

George, we just got back from a week's vacation in Las Vegas, where Alex and I played the Highland Falls golf course, one of Billy Casper's designs. Really enjoyed it! Very playable and also some challenges. Great views on the back nine, too!

Good job Cath. For the record, I have never watched a full episode of Roseanne. I doubt I've even watched 5 minutes.
I can't seem to navigate away from this blog when Cath wins. The music sucks me in like a hoover.

Yay, Roseanne! I think this is one of the best shows ever. I've seen every episode like 15 times. This TVLand marathon keeps me up til 2:00 every night.

Cat does like her Roseanne. Booker is named after a minor character. More like that's where she got the idea for the name, but still.

Dad, i can beat Archie and Meathead any day-- Rob and Laura.

I think Cat got the name Booker after she was reading a Neil Young album and saw a musician named Booker, or that Neil mentioned Booker T and the MG's as an inspiration. I don't think it had anything to do with George Clooney as Booker on Roseanne.

I remember Cat calling me and telling me she just saw the name Booker on a Neil Young album and what did I think of the name. I remember I thought it was the perfect name. A little Neil Young, and a little Roseanne.

Cat I swear I read an email today with your comment about Booker's name. Where is the comment?

Here is the wednesday quote:

Children, after this is all over your father might be going away for a little while.

The comment is down with the baby girl names. Man, I have been sucking it up on SWS for a while.

Me too. This must be a movie I have never heard of. Oh well. It is fun. I do still remember the "old" sitcoms like All in the Family and what about The Jefferson's. Weezy.Lol. Of course Emily is a fan of Dick Van Dyke. Oh ROB! :)

The SWS movie is a very classic, often watched movie.

hey, Dan, I watched Highland falls being built, but never played it finished. I played the Summerlin course a few times. The other Casper/Nash course. Yeah, nice views over the Las Vegas valley from up there. Scott and I play the two courses of Casper/Nash over at The Revier (sp) at Arhiem (sp) in Henderson. glad you had a vacation with Alex. Sounds fun!

We all thought it very fitting that Em married a "Rob". She has always loved the Dick VanDyke Show. I don't recognize the SWS this week either. You'll probably never get to hear my playlist. Dang.

I feel the same way mom! Can we have a friday hint PLEASE!

I watched Man on Wire yesterday. Liked it way much. Good Documentry film. Liked the Paris views and very interesting photos of the building of the World Trade Center.

Amy said...

It's coming this week by Netflix. Looking forward to it.

Dan W said...

I could still use another hint! Got one for us, Sue?

Neaners said...

I just saw Man on a Wire too. I found it very fascinating as well. Thanks for the recommendation, Sue. I am amazed that anyone can have that incredible balance. It was neat to have such great old footage.

No Sundays with Sue. Rob is hoping that your house didn't burn down caused by a cat pee incident.

Pops said...

I had the same thought as Rob. I emailed her today asking her if she croaked. hehe
