UNDER THE RADAR "21" the movie 3 stars

Pretty good PG13 movie, based on a true story of MIT students counting cards in Vegas and winning at blackjack.  Kevin Spacey is good as always and all in all a worthy movie to see.
Not a biggie, but nice.  Interesting about the life of high I.Q. students.

I always thought this looked interesting. I like movies like this.
Glad to know you give it a recommendation. I'll have to check it out.

Cam and I watched a documentary on the MIT group on the Travel channel. Pretty interesting. The documentary interviewed 2 or 3 people that were actually part of the student group. I'll have to check this movie out, I kind of forgot about it.

The movie is pretty good but not all that accurate to the book, Bringing Down the House, that it's based on. I own that book and would be happy to lend it to anyone who asks. Anyway, it does pretty accurately display the MIT "big player" system and some of the ins and outs of card counting and casino security. But there is no love story in the book and the team dynamics are different, including how and why it all started to fall apart. Still, I liked the movie on its own terms and second George's recommendation as something everyone might enjoy. Movies about smart people are always kind of refreshing.

I didn't know there was a book and anything about the backgrown of the movie. Thanks, Dan, for that information. Yeah, Movies about smart people are interesting. i.e. "Good Will Hunting", "A Beautiful Mind", "Charley" etc.
