Arg! I didn't have a movie prepared and everything I thought of had either been done before or was rated R. After looking at some on line movie lists I came up with this classic:

PERSON #1: Listen, okay? You guys'll never believe me. There was two cop cars, okay? And they were chasing this four-wheel deal, this real neat ORV, and there were bullets flying all over the place. It was the most amazing thing I ever saw!

PERSON #2: More amazing than the time Michael Jackson come over to your house to use the bathroom?

PERSON #3: More amazing than the time you saved those old people from that nursing home fire, right?

PERSON #4: Yeah, and I bet it was even more amazing than the time you ate your weight in Godfather's pizza, right?

PERSON #1: Okay, (PERSON #3). Michael Jackson didn't come over to my house to use the bathroom. He was about to. But his sister did.

ps: my play list this week is dedicated to my two girls- these are their favorite songs.

Poor Elles isn't represented too well, since she is a little young to develop preferences, but she has shown a marked preference for "fog" starting very young. Every time I started singing it to her she would clam up and stare at me. (She also LOVES it when Scout and I sing her the goodbye song the little monkeys sing signaling the end of Playhouse Disney- but I didn't look for that one). Her other favorite is Harmony by Elton John but it wasn't on playlist and I am EXTREMELY annoyed since it is (in my opinion) the best song on the Good bye Yellow Brick Road album and every single other song from that album was there but that one. I had to settle for Tiny Dancer which is a song that I sang to Scout a lot as a little one. She has really shown a huge interest in all music though- she is especially fascinated to see people singing on tv and loves to watch American Idol with us (I have no doubt she is enjoying this season a lot more then Rob and I).

I am still annoyed about Harmony. Erg! I'm going to bed.

Nice, I love this movie! That's cute having the girl's favorite songs.

Wednesday quote:

PERSON 1: I can't tell... if it's an "A sharp" or if it's a "B flat"!

PERSON 2: Heh, if you hit the wrong note, we'll all "B flat"

Heehee! I had to do a cheesy one.

hint: not hard to find with this movie....

I must be too high brow in my movie tastes for this one.... Oh well! Hope you have it Haley!

I would guess that you've seen it Dan- but you might be too old.

This is a classic, even if it is cheesy. I'm sure you have seen it.

I must be too old as well because I haven't got a clue. Glad u have it Haley.

This movie came out before I was born, you aren't too old.

By too old I meant that it they might have been busy being adults to worry about a kids movie. There is a host of movies that are very popular, but came out when I was in my early twenties, had no kids, so those movies totally fell out of my radar.
So there is another hint: kid's movie. Combine it with the fact that Haley wasn't born yet and you've got yourself another clue.

Here is the Friday giveaway:

person 1: Mama!
person 2: Come to mama *person 1*, come on hmm?
person 1: Mama, you've been bad.
person 2: Oh, *person 1*. I may have been bad. I may have kept you chained up in that room but it was for your own good.
person 1: Yeah!
person 2: You remember that song I used to sing to you?
person 1: Yeah!
person 2: You were little back then
Rock-a-bye baby on the tree top. When the wind blows the cradle will rock. When the bough breaks the cradle will fall...
person 1: Break! Fall!
person 2: No! I only dropped once.
person 1: Ahh!
person 2: Well, maybe twice. No *person 1*! Put me down!

Good luck who ever doesn't have it yet.....

Aren't winners supposed to be announced and the new contests start on SATURDAYS.

I think Emily needs a several week suspension from winning as a penalty--who is with me?!

Haley said...

HAHA! You just want to get ahead of her!

Whatever it takes, baby!
