I have had NAY a submission into the KWAW Book list and I think it is time to get on it peeps. We are about 3 months behind.
Anyway, I am setting a date and I am not going to budge on it. Please send your submissions to me by this Sunday, or you will be seeing a KWAW booklist comprised solely of my choices.
Now all I need to do is go find my list................I wrote it down somewhere.

Cool. I'll go for it. Can't remember, though, if it is just fiction or primarily fiction you are looking for?
How much explanation or justification of our choices should we put? Do we only need to do that on ones we think most people might not know?
Wow, I just read that- I was like the iron fist of doom. Cool.
Dan- I don't think we need to limit the choices to fiction only. These are books you personally think should be on a "book list" for whatever reasons you want (this is our list dang it!). I've labeled all the posts where we have discussed it with "the kids were alright book list", and one of those posts links to my original post that was a famous book list that put the idea in our heads to make our own list in the first place. Browsing through all that may give you an idea of our vision.
As far as explanations, I haven't worked that out yet. I wanted the lists first, so I can see what (and how many books) we are dealing with. What is loosely in my head right now is after the list is posted (I feel I need to label who submitted what book somehow on the list), then I'm thinking of having everyone follow the list publication with their own post (in their own time) giving whatever sort of explanation of the books they deem appropriate. Doing what ever you feel- a synopsis, a testimony, or why a particular book is important to you.
I think we should color code it! I call green!
OK I'm in. I was just thinking about this yesterday, wondering if anyone was going to mention it again. I'll start working on my list.
I'm in.
limoditi....W.V. haha. What do we do with our meger lists, Ems? Email them to you or what? Put the Book of Mormon on the list for starters. Fact or
fiction,individuals decide for themselves.
I got my book list off by email to Ems just now. Fun exercise in thinking and remembering. I left out and off many of the fluff books I have been reading. Mostly books that have made me think and had an influence on my life. Does Calvin & Hobbs count??
Dang, why didn't I think of Calvin and Hobbes?! I have about seven of those books. BEST COMIC STRIP EVER, for sure.
I kind of varied a bit from just "must reads," and went with favorites and, like George says above, ones that have made me think and had an influence on my life. Looking forward to seeing the results of this project soon!
Howsitgoing, Ems? Looking forward to the list.
