Mrs. Bippin Doubtfire

So this is just a good classic 90's movie that I think everyone in the world has seen. Nice and easy. Was really suprised that nobody has used it for WTB before now.

Robin Williams is pretty amazing. I would kill to be able to do all the voices and stuff that he does. What a fun talent that would be.

I knew this was gonna be an easy one, but I didn't expect it to be THAT easy. I think we might have set the new record for most people getting it on the first quote.

I didnt get it posted 'til late Monday night, so the first Wright guess came from Dan at 8:00 Tuesday morning. 11 minutes later Haley got it. Then it was Ems at 9:22. Then it was B with a text and Matt with a FB message, both of which I got at 3:03 that afternoon (weird).

So unless I'm forgetting someone, I don't think anybody even bothered guessing after that first day. I guess I shoulda picked a more obscure quote, but with this movie, those are kind of hard to come by. Oh well. Close contest! Good times.

Do it Dan.

11 minutes! Sorry Haley. You knew you were close! Congratulations Dan. This just proves once again how terrible I am at this game! The kids watched this a lot when they were growing up. I guess I wasn't paying as much attention as I thought. Lame sauce. Good movie choice, Alex. Robin Williams is amazing.

Ha Ha, Em. You know you wanted Haley to win it if you didn't! Ahh, what music to pick for this week... Know that I'll have YOU in mind!

I'll get thinking right away about this week's movie and try to post clues soon.

Dang. I'll have you know that I beat Matt though. That text was sent before he could fire up the computer. Now I've had "Dude (looks like a lady)" and "Matchmaker" running through my head. I loved this movie growing up. One of Robin Williams' best rolls.

Admit it, poppets. Who hasn't moisturized with meringue since seeing this movie?

Speaking of Dude Looks Like a Lady, what does everyone who watches it think of Steven Tyler as a judge on American Idol? I'm liking him so far. Love it when he joins in with percussion or choruses or harmonies. Love that he even enjoys the bad, bad ones as the "experiences" that they are.

Yeah, he's pretty forgiving. I think the show itself is getting more and more unwatchable. I won't be tuning in after the auditions are over this year. The auditions are a must-see no matter what, but even them, this year seem to lack something. I think it's now just so over-produced.

I've not been looking forward to this season of idol and have even forgotten to record it half the time. (Never used to happen). However, I'm liking Steven Tyler. I think he's so kind and really likes people. I also like it when he sings with people. We're fans at our house. I think the show will really miss Simon's honesty. They all seem a little too nice this year. Maybe creating a lot of false hopes for those going to Hollywood. I also think they're showing fewer of the crazy auditions this year and a little more talent. Which makes me happy for the most part.

Yeah I'm liking Steven Tyler so far. I'm also not really excited about this year but there have been some people I have seen that I like so we will see.

Interesting, Cat. I could care less about the auditions and only get really interested when the live shows start. All the rest of it is, as you say, over-produced. The live shows are, too, in terms of some of the packages they put together to intro each contestant, but they are nothing like the "let's shove this contestant in your face because he/she is our early favorite" kind of stuff we get during audition rounds.

Agree with you Amy about it being a loss that we aren't likely going to hearing Simon-like brutal honesty this year. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds.
