WTB?

Enjoy my tunes while you rack your brains guessing my movie. The Bowie song is for B. She listens to it all the time.

This movie slipped through the cracks... Might even throw it in a Wright Classic category.

Person 1: When I do get the permits, how long will the job take?
Person 2: Two weeks.
Person 1: Two weeks? Two weeks?
Person 2: You sound like a parakeet there. "Two weeks! Two weeks!"

Good luck fam-bags!

Sorry peeps! I have an excuse, but not one that I'll broadcast. You will live, and Dan is once again undermined in his attempt to rule at WTB and all of blogdom. Matt says he is doing great, loving the "Fon doo" (those Wright boys and their spelling), and slept in a 3 man tent in the courtyard of the interpreters house last night. The Rinpoche's wife is a great cook, and he's blown away by the scenery and the food.

Here's your next quote.

Person 1: Mozart? Mozart is dead, his problems are over, help MEEE...

Here's the giveaway.

Anna: Walter?
Walter: Oh, Anna, thank God it's you! Thank God! Anna: Walter? Walter: Thank God you're here, honey! Anna: Is that you? Walter: Is it me? I'm speaking so loud I'm hallucinating! For a while, I thought the Care Bears were here! Anna: Walter? Walter: Farm animals or geese or chickens... Anna: Walter? Walter: UPSTAIRS! Anna: Are you alright? Walter: No, I'm not alright. Anna: Where are you? Walter: I'm in the den! Anna: No you're not, I was just in there... Walter: I'm in the den! I swear it! Please believe me! Anna: Will you stop fooling around, Walter? I'm tired! Walter: I'm right here. Anna: Look, Walter, enough is enough! Walter: I'M RIGHT HERE! Anna: Where? Walter: In the floor behind the chair. Anna: [laughsWalter: Laughing, huh? We're laughing.

We gonna get a new clue? Or like a pageant, if the winner can't fulfill duties, I think the crown passes to the runner-up!

New clues!!! Now! Come on B. Don't let Dan get away with that runner-up crap.

Drat, foiled again! All of blogdom--sounds good! But to make my failure to get an extra win worse, I still don't know the bippin movie!

Thanks for posting a clue and the report on the boy and his fon doo eatin...

Have to say I have gotten hooked this week on Coal Wars from Matt's list. And now I've gone and just purchased it for my iPod. So, in short, not only did I not win, not get to step into the title via the failure to perform duties in a timely manner, but Matt and his dang musical tastes has also now cost me a buck six. Grrrrr.

What's the movie! Even with "giveaway," I'm stumped!

Haha...love to hear Dan and his troubles complaining about liking some music. Dan, you are such an interesting guy. By-the-way, I figured out how to download and listen to your Mormon times podcasts on my ipad. I don't know when B added the giveaway clue but I saw it this morning and got the movie from it. Way late I am sure.

WAY too late. I got it on the first quote. That movie is all about permits.

I got it on the first quote too. We'll see who chimed in first, Em.

Dan W said...

What the heck movie could be about permits?

U Wrights and yer strange movie tastes...

For those who may be interested (George's mention of getting one to work on his iPad reminded me), about ten weeks ago I took over as host of a weekly podcast called Mormon Matters. It's available to check in on and listen to at www.mormonmatters.org or you can subscribe at iTunes. Each week we take a hot or trending topic in Mormonism and have a panel discussion that I moderate and occasionally chime in with my own takes. They have all (except one--#24 on Romney, Glenn Beck, and the Mormon question for politics)--been really pretty great discussions. I think most of you interested in Mormon stuff would like them. Not TOO liberal leaning, I promise, except maybe the BYU Honor Code one about the Brandon Davies situation and one on Mormon feminism--which was way, way awesome even though pretty progressive.

Oh yeah, and to brag a bit. We started with just a few hundred downloads per episode and have rapidly climbed to where now we are getting more than 2500 downloads per episode.

And in case you check it out tomorrow or later, the one we are releasing tomorrow is the only one so far (since the podcast became my baby) that I have not hosted, so don't be thinking you haven't found the right podcast if you don't hear me. It is an episode with a black Latter-day Saint host engaging in a conversation with three other active black Mormons about the priesthood ban, etc. We're releasing it then as the 33rd anniversary of the revelation ending that policy is this Wednesday, the 8th.

Sing to me anytime, Cat! Thanks!

(But was that a clue about the movie I'm also missing?! Ack!)

Hee hee. I'm enjoying this.

Me too. Give me my pain! I NEED my pain!

I will check out Mormon Matters. And Dan, I am interested in know which song you DON'T like on my list. I will guess it is Cactus? Man, the Pixies just aren't your band I guess. Oh, and you really should have just waisted 8 bucks and bought the whole Joshua James album "Build Me This". Every song is great with a few listens, and I have been obsessing on it for like 3 months now. It is seriously great. AND, he is a Salt Lake resident, so if I were you, I would be at all of his shows and skateboard with him after. haha. He is friends with a bunch of my friends, a great skater, and a complete genius when it comes to music. He produced that album in his house! Also, he got picked up by John Mayer and David Grey and they both took him on tour to open for them. Oh, and it made the top ten list of itunes albums to buy one year. Ok, that's enough. hehe.

Fun to learn more about Joshua James. I'll go check out more of the album. Too hilarious about me skateboarding. Can you imagine that? I'm cringing big time!

Cactus Girl is my second least fav on the list, but my past familiarity with it and general Bowie fandom keeps it on my good side. It's Coma Girl that I just couldn't get into. I don't hate it, it just hasn't made me want to keep working at trying to like it.
