A Movie Suggestion from Dreamland

Matt (and dad) I had a dream last night I recommended this movie to you guys. I have no idea why, I don't know if you guys have even seen it or not. I haven't thought of this movie in years, so I have no idea where it came from except that a few weeks ago me Cat and Sue were talking about how much we like Adrien Brody (but we didn't mention this movie). When I recommended it in my dream, Matt- you were really excited to see it and dad said and I quote, "yeah, I'd see a movie with Joaquin Phoenix and Adrien Brody".

So there you go, just doing my duty. (Since it is about an 19th century village, I am wondering if Mose planted it in my head, trying to spread his beliefs. I am trying to appease Mose as much as possible.....). So if you haven't seen it YOU WATCH IT and report back so I might make an offering to my Amish ghost.

Has anyone seen this movie? Is it any good? I'm kind of "eh" when it comes to M Knight whatevers movies. The Sixth Sense and Signs were okay, but Booker and I rented The Girl in the Water which was awful!

I didn't know Adrien Brody was in it. I just might give it a chance because of that. He is adorable! The first movie I remember seeing him in was Summer of Sam. He is great in that movie! Watch it if you haven't seen it yet. John Leguizamo is in it too, I really like him.

Mose, hee hee. Did you watch the Office last night? They went to Dwight's farm and I thought of Mose.

HA HA! This has to be the weirdest post on here for sure. You have some messed up dreams sometimes Em. Is there more of Mose in this new season of office or something? I am waiting for the DVD's to come out.

About the village- MAN was I bord... holy bip. So lame. I didn't like unbreakable either. Signs was OK. Six Sense was pretty awesome. The water one looked SOOOO BAD. I hate how he always makes such a big deal about himself as a director, (DVD extras, interviews, the cover of that movie) and his movies frankly suck. The dude needs to get over himself.

I saw the movie too and liked it ok. I was a little bored at parts, but the ending was unexpected to me and made me go, "whoaaaa". Adrien Brody is adorable. I enjoyed The Sixth Sense and Signs, I didn't mind the lady of the water one too much since, after renting it, asked around at work, was told it was SO BAD, watched it anyway with no expectations, therefore found it okay. His "big twists or reveals" can really fall flat sometimes and he does make a big deal out of himself. Well Matt, good to know you've seen it, that's all we can do with Mose I guess.
Mose had a very tiny cameo in last night's Office. Rob and I laughed so hard when Andy stepped in the manure and looks back and says, "darn!". I love it when Andy is trying to keep his temper in check. (then he steps in another pile in the middle of Dwight's kitchen.....so funny.)

That was great! Mose threw (was it a basketball?) at Andy's head.

Was it Mose that preformed the wedding ceremony? If it was, I didn't realize that was him. Andy is hilarious, one of my favorites on the Office.

Maybe we should start posting our weird dreams we have about each other. I sent Matt a text about it, but the other night I had a silly dream about Matt. I dreamt he owned a pirate ship and my job was to keep it stocked with food. All Matt wanted were fruit loops and enchiladas.

Emily said...

Yeah, it wasn't Mose that did the ceremony, it was a neighbor. Haha about the Pirate Matt dream.

I didn't think it was Mose. I guess I missed his cameo. I watched the whole episode, hmmm.

he,hehehe, Fruit Loops and enchiladas. Spot on! That's my Foos. M.K.Shymayalin is way over hyped and rated, Matt is Wright about that. I heard that the Village really stank and so I have never considered renting it. 6th Sense was good...downhill after that.

I want to watch the new Office so bad! This is Dwight and Angela's wedding I assume? Or Andy and Angela?

I can't believe it says "The #1 worldwide thriller". It didn't even spook me.

Sue said...

Matt you're just going to have to watch it. It was hilarious! And it was Angela marrying one of them! hee hee hee

Sue, the Mose appearance was really subtle. They were in the background. It made me laugh so hard that the guy who is to (did!!) perform the ceremony was a Mennanite.

Sue said...

Was it the guy that threw the football to Andy? I thought it was funny that he was a Mennanite too. I love Dwight and his beat farm.

Did you all see Adrien Brody in "the Pianist"? The best!

Sue, I don't know where you mentioned Shopgirl on here, but I watched it last night. It was good. I remember you struggling about why it was R, you were right, I don't think there is one swear word. There were a few non explicit sex scenes, and you see Claire Daine's Butt once. I guess that all was enough to make it R. I like Jason Schwartzman too, the last thing I saw him in before this was "I Heart Huckabees" and I really didn't like that movie. The only thing I liked about it was Mark Wahlberg's fireman boots. Anyway, I had flashbacks of that movie when I saw schwartzman and well anyway remembered how lame I found that movie. One more thing, Cath, remember how when you saw the blue cover for Weezer oh so long ago and looked at the bass player I think it was and said, "he looks like one of those really pasty guys with lots of dark body hair. Anyway, that has stuck with me and I think of that every time I see Jason Schwartzman. He sure is a hairy monkey.

I didn't like I Heart Huckabees very much either. I wanted to like it! I mentioned Shopgirl in a Under the Radar post. I need to do another one of those, it's been awhile.

I'm glad you liked Shopgirl, I still don't think it deserved an R rating. One of the things I mentioned in my post is maybe it is because you see her butt, but in NYPD blue you see that fat guys butt and that was on TV. So I just don't get it.

Speaking of good movies with Jason Swartzmann that are rated R without deserving it is The Dajarleeing Limited. I've mentioned it before. I loved it. I guess dad didn't like it much, but I think you'd like it. Adrien Brody is great in it.

I wanted to like I heart huckabees too, but it just didn't do anything for me.
I am adding the Dajarleeing Limited right now, I only have 2 movies in my queue!

Was the Dajarleeing Limited the last movie Owen Wilson did before his meltdown? Even though I am a Owen Wilson fan, I didn't get much out of Dajarleeing Limited except some landscape pictures of India. Very light on entertainment value for me.
