Random dribble

Your mom wore a few shoulder pads back in the days. "What goes around, comes around!" Your kids will be laughing at you before you know it. I saw Young @ heart tonight. Nice! I liked it a lot, but mom fell asleep at 9:10 watching it. Maybe I should slip her a Red Ball Mickey before she watches a movie. Last night I watched with much interest "Mistic River". Awesome movie. What a role Sean Penn played so very well. He is a great actor. I was very impressed with all the acting and the story and directing all everything about the movie. Matt and I discussed the ending at lunch hour today and agree that there are more than one way to interpet the ending. The finger pointing gun sign and Penn's shrug and expression. Good film making. The young girl that was killed, played Christine in Phantom. Pretty girl! I still don't like Penns' active politics, but I won't let that be a factor in my watching his movies any more. Go and do likewise you that hate Russell Crowe...see Cinderella Man, yet? See A Beautiful Mind? See 3:10 train to Yuma? Have a fun time this weekend with Rarnee and the B. Mom and I still laugh and remember the good time and food last Saturday at P J Chinks. Kisses, Pops

Dad you are so funny. PJ Chinks! That was fun having lunch with everyone. Yummy too!

I am so glad you liked Mystic River. I've seen it 5 or 6 times now, I just love it. Did you know that Clint Eastwood also composed most of the music? Is there anything he can't do? The ending does open up to interpretation. That scene when the older brother is beating up the younger brother is crazy.

I'm so glad you liked Mystic River. Such a great film. You sent us kisses!!

I think I need to see Mystic River again, I forgot the ending. No I haven't watched Cinderella Man yet, still sitting on my dresser.
I am inspired by your ability to let go of your dislike for Sean Penn as a person and enjoy his movie, so I must try to do likewise.

I would like to point out, that if you look to the right, "random dad stuff" is leading the pack as having the most labels. 16!

That is so funny, Em! Doesn't surprise me one bit though!

Mystic, Red Bull, P.F. Chang. Sunday not Saturday....just correcting my Bads on my post. Thanks, Matt, you dork! Kisses yes! I love them but don't get enough. Em's, you must see Cinderella Man. You will like it. It won't be like having to watch Ferenheight 9/11. I promise. If I am wrong, I'll watch five of your worst movies ever as punishment. Yeah, Sue, I noticed that Clint wrote most of the music. I didn't know he had any music talent. He is the MAN! I watched Coogan's bluff the other night on cable...so young! I better quit posting random dad's stuff. I don't want to take more than my share, even though I post the most interesting stuff. Hee,hee, hee. At least not like Linda Evans, Neil Young, cookies, twilight, Harry Potter. More Scout, less Harry Poter is my choice. Don't listen to me go off on your funny subjects, you nerdlings.

Don't ever stop posting your random things Dad! They are the best. Your little coven of nerdlings love to read them. One of the cable movie channels has been playing Clint Eastwood movies like every night for the past week or so. Cam and I have watched a few, Hang em High, High Plains Drifter and Two Mules For Sister Sara a a few we've watched this week.

We all love the random dad posts and may I add you are the one that has posted the Twilight posts!
Most of my Scout stuff can be found on my personal blog, that is why she isn't on here much.

"red ball mickey"!

All I know of her is of The Soup fame too, but from what I gather, she was discovered on a reality show and was given her own reality show. I also have gleaned that she is bi, so her "Bachelorette" type show was open for both women and men love interests.
Excuse me, but there is something really wrong with bi-sexuals. Pick a team, you don't get to be attracted to the entire human race.

Pops said...

Huh! Who is bi? The Soup fame? who you talking about?

Em posted her comment on the wrong post. It was meant for the happy birthday linda evans one. She was commenting on an answer I gave to your contest.

Hey Sue, I tried your tomatillo salsa today and it is really good! Thanks!

Sue said...

Glad you liked it Haley! We made 2 batches of it and one we made really hot. If it was the really hot one, sorry! We didn't expect it to be as hot as it was.

Haley said...

Yeah and you want to know something weird? I usually don't like hot things but I really liked it! I chalk it up to being pregnant because I can't stand things that are bland and have no flavor. So that tasted really good to me!

Emily said...

I used to sprinkle all my food with crushed red pepper. I was convinced that was normal and not because I was pregnant, I just happen to have that idea. I haven't sprinkled them with anything other then pizza since.

Yeah it's weird, anything with not enough flavor is so gross to me right now. I crave things with a lot of flavor, such as salsa. I use salt a lot! Even PB&J's aren't very good to me right now. My mom said she was the same way.
