Matt's Test Video

Fall is a time of change, and my business is undergoing a lot of changes. Mostly regarding new equipment-but also a new name, commitment, website, pricing, and more time to devote to it since I'm done with school (at least for now).
I thought that using all this new stuff was going to throw a difficult learning curve ball at me, but I was very pleased with how easy it was to put together this little film. I even edited quite a bit of it while hanging out in Phisters living room on my laptop with Kyle's Utah Jazz headphones.

Hope you enjoy! Gotta love Pops and his dogs!

So many things to comment on! I hope you like your new camera and stuff. I'm sure it's weird to get used to but if it's worth anything, I thought it looked great. I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to that stuff but the picture looked good. I LOVE the new name and logo! Way professional and cool. Me likey that song too. I know I've heard it before but can't remember what it is. Next time I'm in Riverton I need you to burn me a cd of all your sweet indie music that I really like. :)

Agree. Gotta love Pops and his dogs! (Fun to get a few shots of the elusive Dave in there, too!)

Great fun, Matt. Looked great! Glad you're loving the new equipment and integrating it into your work!

Oh, yeah! George, can you keep your glasses on? They make longer temple pieces I'm pretty sure.

(Am I commenting on something the family has already worn out as a topic/tease/point of affection?)

I think he would be able to keep them on just fine if Chester hadn't chewed them :)

Great job Matt. We got to see the premier last night.

I loved that video. Good stuff. The opening had the dogs running to the back door and barking up a storm though (we have Chelsea again). Stupid mutts can't tell a real dog from a video. Bright side: the audio quality must be pretty good then.

You guys are awesome. Thanks for the positive feedback! That is funny about it causing a ruckus at your place Ems. It's funny that Chester saw the lawn mower as a threat or game or something. I've never seen a dog do that.
Did anyone catch the significance of the old 60's film transfer footage of the dogs mixed with the new technology and the title of the film? And how Dad will ALWAYS have a Golden Retriever and that will never change? haha. And that the sun still comes up everyday? And how Chester always wants the same little toy bone instead of a stick? I love that shot of him grabbing the stick and then dropping it to grab his favorite bone. Ok, maybe they aren't very obvious things, but I am trying to focus on having more meaning and symbolism and stories to my work. Even if it is just a test video at my parents house. :) lol omg URAQT
As much of a pain as that dog has been, he is cute and loving enough to make up for it. He really is a sweet dog and loves people more than anything.

Just a note about the glasses. First I saw a bit of the video on Matt's laptop, but I can't play in on my computers. This one at work needs Adobie flash update and I can't download it with out network approvial. The one at home won't play it either...
Glasses... stupid dog in question has eaten three pair of glasses. I have had two replaced glasses insurance, but so embarrassed the last time I bought new lenses only and repaired the frames myself. I used J.B. Weld (great stuff!) and molded the ear pieces. They look a little funny if you notice, but they work for now until I get a new set next year when my policy kicks in again... Okay? "poor folks have poor ways" My paps saying.

I let Chester in yesterday and he was so good! quiet and cuddly and just fine when I turned my head and didn't notice he snatched my glasses from off the kitchen table. I put him out later to go to the airport and I about stepped on my busted, chewed glasses on the carpet. One lens was missing and the ear end was all chewed up and broken and I could't find the missing lens for a long time. Anyway I gathered up all the parts and went to the airport with my needle-nose plyers and J.B.Weld and worked on the glasses. I got them put back together pretty good and I'm now wearing them. I think I will go to the eye doc and have an exam and get a new set. These are just too white trash or at least nerdy scauce extreem.

Oh man Dad. I'm so sorry. He must like the smell or something. What a douche. I take it all back.
"nerdy sauce extreem" HAHAHA!!

Yes dad, time for new glasses, I'd say.

Douche! Haha.
