I'm Neil Diamond!

I found out today that Neil Diamond is coming to the Energy Solutions Arena (Delta Center), December 19th! Tickets go on sale this Monday, October 6. I sent most of you a text letting you know this. Dad sent me a text back telling me to post it on the blog so we can discuss. Well, he first asked if it was the real Neil, hee hee. I don't know how much tickets are yet, I'm trying to find that out. As soon as I know, I'll let you guys know. Okay, let's discuss.

I should have added all this in the original post. But we need to act soon. I imagine Neil tickets go pretty fast, and there is probably a limit to how many you can buy, probably like 8 or something. Cam and I are in a position right now where we could buy 8 or whatever of them right now, and have people pay us back ( and it would have to be fairly soon. We have mortgage coming up). Well, that is if they are your typical $50 or $60 tickets. If they are really outrageous, well, that is the stuff we need to discuss.

There are 6 or 7 of us wyoming people going and I was going to suggest I buy all the tickets so were all were all together, but Sue thinks there will be a limit on how many one person can buy. We can work out the details later and get an accurate head count. This is a must do thing for Me, Mom, Amy, Matt and the B. We need to see about the other Phisters and Crooks. Neato....Soo long, goodby.

They usually do put a limit on how many you can buy. Someone definitely needs to purchase as many tickets as they allow, so we can all be together. Sometimes it is 12. We will have to see. I will do more research tomorrow and see about ticket prices and limits etc. Sounds like there are 5 WY people for sure, add me and Cam, Cat, and Em (would Rob be in Em?) that would make 9, Rob would make 10. So yes, I definitely need to find out what prices and ticket number limits are. More to discuss later!

I don't know about Rob........ I am sure he would have fun if he went.

Sorry Sue, I couldn't resist.

What? Sorry about the picture? I think it's awesome!

I have a bit of an update. According to the Energy Solutions Arean's website tickets for Neil will be from $27.50 to $120.00, nice huh! That means we might get some decent seats if we want to go in the $50 range.

They don't have a ticket limit posted yet. I checked limits on some other concerts that are happening there. Metallica has a 4 ticket limit, Celine Dion has 8, but there is no limit for Reba. So, I really have no way of knowing what Neil's will be if there is one. I thought it was up to the arena, but it looks like it is up to the band.

I think only Amy, Grandma, Grandpa, Matt, and B are going down from Wyoming. Marcus said he would rather get ran over by a truck. A little over reaction but whatever! My dad didn't look too excited eitheer. So it looks like it is only five for sure.

This will be the last chance in my lifetime to see The Neil. Better go who want to. Sue, will we have a better chance of getting good tickets by going to the box office in SLC or on the internet? Or will it matter? Let me know details when you can.

I'm going to keep checking for an online pre-sale. Sometimes they do that. If not, I already told my boss I'll be late on monday cause I got to get Neil tickets!

I'm just about to put up another line from the first Sundays with Sue. So check the comments!

Haley--
You guys want to hitch a ride down anyway and babysit Scout? Perhaps we could to the Twilight thing the same weekend. I think they actually moved the date up for the movie to November, so maybe we will be doing it earlier?

Pops said...

What is the "Twilight thing"? Standing around a tree, holding hands at sunset, singing Coombyya?

Emily said...

No smarty-- we were discussing how it would be fun to all go see the Twilight movie together when it comes out. Originally, I was going to come up to Wyoming for the event, if your little theater has it, but if we are all down in Utah, then that would be fine too.

I think they are referring to (The Twilight thing) is the movie is coming out soon.

Haley said...

Yes and it comes out Nov 21st now! Yay! Oh yes that would be fun to babysit Scout! And I also finished the second Harry Potter so I will be posting another review on that sometime soon.

Haley- you or your mom need to go to her new google account and find her invite to be an author.

New update. I just checked the ticket info again, and the prices now say $53.00 to $120.00, I thought $27.50 seemed kind of low. They still don't have a ticket limit posted yet.

So what's going on?? It's ticket day..

I was talking to our marketing guy and he mentioned that our Motion Control Christmas party will be on Dec. 19th in the afternoon. At the mention of that date my eyes got all huge and excited. He's like, what, you're not going to be there? And I'm like, no! I'm just excitded for that day because I'm gonna go see Neil Diamond that day. He told me that he saw him in the mid-seventies. How lucky is he? That would have been so bippin' sweet.
