Newman has been in my top five or six best male actors for a long time. Props to him for staying married to Joanne Woodward, for driving race cars and having blue eyes.
1. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
2. Absence of Malice
3. The Sting
4. Cool Hand Luke
5. The Color of Money (sorry to you who don't like Tom Cruse)
It was hard to pick just five movies with Newman. I could have added The Verdict, The Hustler, Long Hot Summer. Most of them except the Chalice (stinko)
I was sad to see that he had died today. He was a great actor indeed. I think the Verdict is my favorite. I also liked The Color of Money, despite the Tom Cruise aspect. The Sting is a classic and so is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, "raindrops keep falling on my head....." And Cool Hand Luke, he can eat 50 eggs!

I like his salad dressing too. Nice blue eyes.
